We’re too small with KJ at PF, is it possible for him to play the 3

I don’t see Shawn Marion. He doesn’t move as fluid as dude. He made huge strides and I’m a big fan but his fit at the 4 l(despite his blocking abilities) just isnt there. It’s ok for now since we aren’t competing but in the long term if we want him apart of this team(and I do) in a winning culture, I think he needs to move to transition tot he 3 if that’s possible

    thoughts and debate?

I see him more as a 3, specially if his outside shot continues to improve.
    Same as Tate

KJ doesn't have a set position, he's just a 3&D player, you can put him on SG's, SF's, PF's and he should do okay. He's a good shot blocker and rebounder so keeping him in the paint plays to his strengths.

I'd play KJM at the 4 and not lose any sleep. He plays way bigger than his size due to that ridiculous vertical leap. JST is a slightly better athlete so I'd leave him at the 3.

    KPJ
    Jalen Green
    JST
    KJM
    Wood

tell me that lineup doesnt bring a smile to your face? If all goes to hell AGAIN then all of a sudden you may have a shot at Banchero, Chet, Adrian Griffin, Jabari Smith, Patick Baldwin. In actuality NEXT YEAR would be the best year to try and nab your BIG instead of trying to convince yourself Evan Mobley is the guy this year.

Google the injury to Wiseman, Kmart blocked the **** out of him!

Well, that certainly looks like a team that would help the Rockets get another top 5 pick next season possibly losing even more games than the Rockets did last season.

this is the lineup i really want. i think it's very balanced albiet maybe a little small on the defensive end. KJM and JST should be able to pick up defensive slack for KPJ/Wood respectively. You should be able to switch mostly everything with this lineup since Tate would actually be the shortest person on the floor for us.

Considering we used to have Harden guard 4s and 5s because he's sturdy and too lazy to play perimeter defense, I think Martin playing switching defense will be OK.

He is going to be a stud SF, not that there is any difference in the NBA today.

I wish we could stop with the knee jerk opinions on what 20 year olds can or can’t do now/in the future. KJ will play the 4 just fine.

I think he can play both positions. He has to keep working on his consistency shooting the ball. That will help maximize his versatility. But as folks have said, he plays big and he’s only gonna get stronger.

I don't know why we kept positions around...its basically
    Forward
    Forward
    Forward
    Guard
    Guard
    for most teams at least

Martin Jr had lateral defensive issues on the perimeter last season. He also struggled in the 5 spot..
For now his main strength is weakside help defence, and rim roller/ spot up 3 man.
Think John Collins lite as a goal for him.

To move to the 3, he needs to work on being a 3nD guy, so perimeter defence is the first goal

there was no quantitative evidence to support this based on his playing time

You folks say this so casually as if it’s undisputedly the truth.

I want to see him more at the 3 if she shows he’s quick enough on the perimeter defensively.

Weak side blocks doesn’t make him. A great option at the 4
