You can't spot reduce fat. You have to reduce overall fat. So reduce your body fat, and you'll start seeing those love handles disappear.
If you're in a serious relationship, get your girlfriend to decide to take a break. Then just eat Lean Cuisines for lunch and dinner. Between the stress and diet, I've lost 13 pounds in the last month.

Skip that Kit Kat bar. You got a six pack underneath all that fat. To let them shine, you need to lower your body fat and build up muscle. No more junk food, beer, or grease. Eat more protein and less carbs and sugar. Exercise hard with some cardio and plenty of weights. This is no way to live, but you’ll eventually get there with hard work and determination.
I guess I've always been fortunate with my weight...I was a lanky kid and at 20 am 6'1 160 pounds. One thing they would always tell you to do to lose weight is drink A LOT of water. Drink water, run long-distance, lift weights and do deep-breathing exercises. If you drink water and pee non-stop it's supposed to get rid of fat cells or something. I'm not a doc or nothing
Forget everything else. You need motivation. Get the hottest girl you know to tell you that she will fulfill ALL of your sexual desires if you get rid of your love handles. I believe after that, everything else will come naturally.
Have you tried binging and purging? Seriously though, to slim down, start drinking lo-carb protein shakes for lunch, and a lo-carb dinner. Cut pastas, white breads, and beer completely out of your diet. Eat plenty of green vegetables and lean meats. Buy a Foreman grill on which to cook meats such as grilled chicken breasts, lean steak, etc. Avoid fast foods and pizza at all costs. Go jogging about 20-30 minutes a day. Do 300 crunches (100 forward, 100 left side, 100 right) and about 30 leg lifts while controlling your motion with the abs.
Either get your stomach stapled or hack off your love handles with a butcher knife. You may want to hunt down some pain killers or at least drink heavily before doing either of these.
I have to say just watch your fat intake and up the protein intake. Cut out the fast food and start cooking your own stuff and that should help a ton.
I was about to post a topic on this same subject. Is rice okay to eat or is it a no-no like white bread? Is this a good diet: 10 am - Wheat Bread, Strawbelly jam, lowfat butter, 2% milk, orange juice with calcium and a cup of yogurt. 12:30 pm - Usually the Strawberry Activator smoothie from Smoothie King. 1 gram of fat, 20 grams of protien and 560 calories. 3:00pm - A nacho cheese chicken Gordita from Taco Bell. 10 grams of fat aint thaaaat bad, is it? 5:30pm - something at home. Usually somekind of meat with white rice. 8:00pm - same thing as the 5:30 pm. 10:30pm - milk, cereal bar and another granola bar. Is white bread really bad? How about wheat bread? Should you do cardio before wieght lifting or after?
Rockets03, If you want to reduce your body fat, avoid all high glycemic index foods. But since most of us won’t be competing for Mr. Universe anytime soon, don’t sweat it. Rice and white bread taken in moderation won’t matter much for normal people that exercise regularly. Wheat bread is a toss up. It’s supposedly better than white bread because of the fiber and some other nutrients. Sometimes the big companies put in all these additives into wheat bread and it’s probably worst than the white bread. Wheat is usually the lesser of the two evils. I don’t know how big your portions are, but you might want to skip the 5:30 or 8:00 meal depending on when you work out, especially when you eat before bed anyways. Do your cardio to get your heart rate up before lifting weights. When you’re done, run some more.
