I agree completely, but I don't think it's fair to diminish what Tannehill is doing. He's been terrific. But yes, if Deshaun had AJ Brown, Jonnu Smith, Derrick Henry, and a good O-line, it would be game over.
If JJo walked into the Texans locker room tomorrow he would immediately be the best secondary player on the team. If KJax was still on the team HE would be the best back end player on the team AND a +run defender. Just for levity and a realistic state of affairs with the current talent level of this secondary.
Watson has thrown for 650 more yards and higher completion percentage. Tannehill has 4 more TDs, 1 less INT. Watson doesn’t have a back on pace to get close to 2,000 yards. Watson basically lost his entire WR corp.
