Hey guys been shopping for beds, I have been looking for platform types and have ran across used waterbeds with nice frames and was thinking about using that with a mattress. I ran across somebody getting rid of set of matresses with the water built in for a good price, I have heared differing opinions and i want some feedback from anybody that has slept on them. I have had a water bed in the past and actually liked it a lot so the water thing will not be a problem but I want to hear what some of you think.
my parents use to have a mattress/water bed combo type. It had "tubes" of water running head to foot, topped with a mattress. It was a long time ago, but it was a comfortable bed.
So whats your point I have never been caught up in whats cool or not because i have never let what other people think control my actions, SHEEP.
It was not so much opinion, but how the mattress felt but I guess thinking how uncool i would be with a waterbed distracted you.
If You decide on a waterbed, do not purchase it at SUPERIOR WATERBEDS. when i was 12, i wanted to try the perks of capitalism, so I begged my mother for a waterbed...We went to superior waterbeds made the purchase ;but the bastards took around seven weeks to deliver it
I had one that was a pillowtop and the waterbed portion was in the middle, not tubes running across but like a miniature waterbed with the mattress encasing it. You had to unzip the mattress to get to the water. I had it for a year before I moved. Honestly that was the most comfortable bed I ever laid on. It didn't move around as much like the old waterbeds you really didn't feel the water that much.
Still have one of those. After more than ten years it's still comfortable as the day I got it. The only problem is that the foam frame around it makes a semi-loud noise when you get in or out of the bed now.
