heres a chance to see what Joey can really do for people like me who are intrested... you need an nba acount but its free http://www.nba.com/dleague/webcastDleague.html
i did not know that smush parker still played.. lol. he went from starter of LA.. signing a contract in miami to dleague material
I take this back. He is worse than awful. We might as well leave him there all year b/c he has no business stepping foot on an NBA court.
He's done that in the NBA too. Make no mistake: Smush Parker is athletically gifted, he just doesn't have the mentality to be a successful NBA player. Regarding Dorsey, it's his first action in a while. After he gets situated, I would think he should do OK at D-league. I doubt his NBA prospects though.
One difference between Dorsey and the other rookies that we signed, Dorsey is not humble. In fact, I thought Dorsey would've been a locker room problem for our other young players (not veterans of course) since he was such a walking technical and an arrogant player. That being said I don't hate him, but I do hate how 70% of the clutchfans here thought Carl Landry could easily be replaced by him. Afterall, if Dorsey was so good, why didn't other teams draft him first?
At best, Dorsey is the player the Rockets would like to replace Chuck Hayes. Raw offensive skills, but an athletic specimen who can rebound, play good defense and can actually dunk on the other side of the floor.
I have a couple 20 second cell phone vids of random Rockets vs Clippers action from last year, when Smush Parker was on the team. All you can hear on the clips is Smush getting heckled bad. From a CLIPPERS fan.
J.Dorsey 31 min, 3-8 fg's, 12 rebounds (8 offensive), 2 assists, 3 fouls, 2 steals, 4 to's, 2 blks, 9 points His first game wasn't pretty, not sure if he even practiced with the Vipers, but he did grab alot of offensive rebounds http://www.nba.com/dleague/games/boxscore.jsp?gameId=2020800094
