One of the worst I've ever heard. They get the players mixed up, and when they do get it right, they mess up the pronounciation.
Yeah they pretty bad, I remember one was literally whining when the refs actually called a foul on the Wizards.
Maybe this was more emotional of a thread, but they kept advocating Beal was the ROY candidate when Dilliard has been 10x better. They were so bad, that I wanted to hear Bill and Bull over them. I always like hearing the other teams broadcasters but these guys were by far the worst I've heard all year. One complained about Harden's ability to draw fouls every time he touched the ball and when there was a foul called against the Wizards he questioned the legitimacy of it. If these guys are worse than ours, then your just a plain terrible team. Then again, we played a back to back and the Nets team was a great group.
That's not exactly the standard you want. Bill and Clyde are the worst of the worst with homerism, maybe only being surpassed by Tommy Heinsohn.
Let's come to the realization here that we have top 3 worst groups in the league. If I want to hear our teams over there's, then we got problems.
Bullard would be a better fit for espn,TNT as I think he is very intelligent and has a good tv voice, but for the Rockets he is way to homeristic. I put myself in other fan's shoes and no one wants to hear Bill, Bull, and Clyde. The color guy for the Wizards is the worst. I had to mute it.
Bull is not like Clyde and bill in terms of homerism. He would ALWAYS call out last years team for being a bunch of flopping whiners. I think he is pretty objective, much morse than most
I do think your emotions got the best of you, but that happens sometimes. Not a big deal. Their mentioning Beal for ROY several times was very annoying and amateurish. It almost seemed like they were carrying out orders from team management.
I was saying this in the chat during the game. They're really bad and will put you to sleep. Even people sleeping will sleep in their dreams if they listen to this and will go to the second level of dreams. And if they die in that second level, they'll go into limbo where they'll be stuck there for thousands of years.
There are a couple of ways a broadcast team can go. They can go homer or impartial. Our broadcast team goes homer. It's a legit way to do it, and I don't mind it. Bill is one of the best of any team. When Calvin was there they were in the top 3 in the league. Bull and Clyde don't quite match up, but even when they do something wrong or horrible it's at least interesting. A lot of the color guys are just plain boring. I like our team, and always try and watch them on league pass. But part of that is so that I can see Salt Grass commercials. I miss that place.
