For the Rockets? Even though we didn't land Howard, I believe this off season will be a success if we land Asik.

The off season doesn't end til training camp, so it is't over yet. I like what we've accomplished so far. We're in the middle of a retool. We have several 1st & 2nd year players. We've lost Scola, Lowery & Dragic and gained cap space & picks. Lin's back in town & we have an offer sheet for Asik ready to go. We're in the hunt for Howard or Bynum. If we get Howard or Bynum, we'll build around him for a title run with the cap space to add another "star" next year. If we don't get either of them, then we play the assets to see which ones will pan out & get a top 5 draft pick in the process. It would be a long(win wise), but entertaining & enjoyable season in that case.

If we get Howard or Bynum(assuming they resign) its an instant success. Too early to tell now. Getting Lin was nice. He will give the Rockets a lot more publicity and fill the stadiums. He is not as good as Lowry and Dragic but the gap is not that big. Not to mention the fact he is three years younger.

We have a clear direction now! Were not just floating in the middle like we have for the past 3 years.
