I was watching the Nuggets game prior to the Half time injury. Just before Half time ( not very sure)- during a time out, I clealry saw an irate JVG and maybe TMAC and their body language was not just right- to put that mildly. This may just be frustration and maybe there is nothing more to it. I am not sure if anyone noticed that. I wish I had TIVO'ed the game but it was not looking too good for us!
Man come on....coaches get upset and mad all the time when things dont go their way and they yell and get mad at players all the time. How many times have we seen JVG yell and get upset at Yao?? All the time. Its a sport and coaches get mad....i dont think there is anything to it.
Also when the team is loosing and so many injuries, frustration is a natural thing to occur. No worries.....everything should be fine.....this is by far the most frustrating season ever for me as a fan and the team.
Something would be wrong if they weren't frustrated. But if you are implying that there is more to it than heat-of-the-battle competetive thing and something that runs deeper, certainly not, I don't think. I don't think there's any personal animosity between them. T-Mac and JVG understand the reality of their situation this season. I'm sure they have disagreements just like we have disagreements with people in the workplace and in life but you know I still believe T-Mac means what he says when he says he loves playing for JVG
I think you are referring to the play where Swift had the ball and wouldn't give it up to T-Mac. T-Mac and JVG were furious, and JVG called a timeout and there insued yelling on the bench between the 3. I think it was more frustration by JVG & T-Mac towards Swift b/c T-Mac was still pissed when they resumed (he had an angry/frustrated look).
That exactly what happened if I remember correctly, I remember telling my wife something about Stros holding on to the ball to long.
Thank you Rivaldo! I did not recall the exact play. Guys I did not mean to start a speculative thread- Just wanted to know if anyone else watched this. To that end this was hardly speculative- this was on TV. Apologize if this smacked of speculation- my intentions were honorable!

Well, the only thing good left for this team, with sooo many injuries, is the fighting spirit and the rallying among players and the coach. if there is problem between the superstar and the coach, you can write off this season immediately. I for one was scared to see the thread title, now I feel much better.
You're welcome. I don't know why anyone would have a problem with you asking either but it is all good. I recall the play b/c my friend kept saying look at how pissed JVG and T-Mac are towards Stro for not passing. This is not the first this has happened this season. It also happened against the Grizzlies earlier in the year when the Rox got blown out at home. T-Mac was yelling the hell out of Mooch for not passing. I also see him yelling at Deke quite often when he gets 3 second and travelling violations after T-mac has set him up pefectly for an easy layup. It is all part of being a leader and I don't think anyone should bregrudge T-Mac for being vocal. If anything, we need more of it!
Since I have been to a few games this season, I have seen McGrady during timeouts and on the bench being rather vocal with some of his teammates, but ESPECIALLY with Swift. I remember this one game (can't remember against whom) Swift I think got nailed in the head or something and as he was walking off the court, McGrady tilted his head towards him and just shaked it in disgust (and I mean absolute, total disgust), right after that I noticed Swift has been playing better and hustling more. Mcgrady screams at Swift a lot of times, I almost get the sense that he takes it personally when Swift doesn't play well, may be it's because he was so high on him before the season started and vouched for him. McGrady is NOT a 'passive' leader, contrary to popular belief. He does get in people's faces and he's an incredible competitor, but I think he tries at times too much to hide his frustrations and fiery nature on the court. In fact, Yao is not as passive either as some of you might think, I have seen him and Ewing get into it quiet a few times on the bench, with the two yelling at each other (usually after Yao makes a mistake on the court and he's taken out). Seriously guys, you would be amazed at how much you miss by watching the game on TV, the best thing is seeing/hearing what's going on away from the cameras. However, if all this tells you one thing, it's this: these guys haven't given up, they do give a damn how they and everyone else performs. I am a firm believer that as long as your leaders (in this case JVG, McGrady, and Yao) aren't giving up and aren't being passive, then the rest will fall in place sooner or later; our leadership is alright, the rest will follow.
