Was it me or did the Toyota Center look a lil empty?

Noticed during the game on TNT that there were a lot of empty seats here and there. Was the game a sellout?

It was empty at the start b/c of the early start time.

It was empty at the end b/c of the blowout.

But, in the middle 2 quarters... the lower bowl was PACKED (on TV).

It is true, though, that the Rockets have to win to get the fans.

That is the absolute worst thing about the gigantic lower bowl. If there are even a couple hundred of those 11,000 seats empty, it looks like no one showed up.

If you score 100 points................they will stand up and cheer you on like they never have when you reach the 90's.

Great game! Fluid and tough on defense. Go Rockets!!!

there was a lot of reasons:

1.it was a thursday..people are ussually tired close to the end of the week, so they don't even want to lift a foot off the bed..he he he

2..we played against the nuggets, which we know we will win, because they sucks....well maybe not...but....they played san antonio the night before...so they gonna be tired and we kick their butt even if the rockets sleep walking

but ..i congratulate everybody who went and got a BIG MAC...yummy

It did look empty. But in retrospect, remember how many fans we averaged last season? ;)

I thought there were more people...compared to the attendance in the preseason. But it was still kinda quiet..I could hear certain people reacting to refs and Yao and stuff...but most people were just sitting there. Ain't nothing wrong with that though. They paid for their very nice large size tickets. They all seem happy...sitting there..smiling.

It DID look on the empty side to me as well. As for the lack of crowd noise, this game started out so slowly that I first thought I was looking at a Knicks game. Luckily, things finally perked up but this looks to be a team that'll struggle to score against topflight competition.

I almost didn't even watch the game. I tuned in to TNT, and there was a black out screen. I didn't turn the game back on until the second quarter when I was surfing the channels...

12 to 4 on 100% shooting. What do you consider a fast start?

It was probably because the Rockets mail everyone's tickets to the wrong addresses. :p

The Chronicle reported that the arena actually surpassed the maximum occupancy by something like 100-200 people.
