Dont say I jinx anything. I dont really care which team wins. I hope the Warriors kick the Suns butt and give Kerr & D'Antoni a big scare.
It's a difficult one to pick. I want denver to be in the play-offs, but I really hope the shaq trade spell the end for the suns...
You have to give the edge to the Warriors. No way the Suns can beat them if they (the Warriors) play well. They will make mincemeat of the Suns perimeter defense.
The Warriors are just unstoppable offensively. I think they will blow the Suns out. The Warriors may come out of the West this year. They have a special player in Monta Ellis who is probably the best pure shooting guard in the game. Best backcourt in the league and they have scoring and rebounding advantages at every single position on the court (once they force other teams to go small).
There is no way the Nuggets are getting in the playoffs. I hope Warriors win, so Suns can fall further.
watching Shaq pounding Harrington at the low post is so funny. I bet Harrington's shot is going to be off tonite.
Suns can win a playoff round depending on the matchup. They will lose to NO, Warriors, Lakers, Rox, and can possibly beat Spurs, Mavs
The interesting thing to me is that the Suns look like they plan on playing a real basketball lineup. They're playing Diaw and Grant Hill at the 3 (their real positions). Since they've had Shaq I've seen them play really small at times with Diaw at center, Hill at the 4, and Bell at the 3 (he's not even big for a SG). I just like the idea that the suns have given up on small ball.
the good thing is we match up PERFECT with the warriors. play put battier on davis, alston on ellis, tmac on jackson, then play scola and landry at the same time and murder them. that would be our best defensive lineup v. them but also our best offensive lineup. the suns just do not play any defense, before or after shaq got here, which is pathetic really.
The money question: which of these teams would you prefer Rox to meet in the play-offs? I think Phoenix, but I am also from the school of being careful about what one wishes for.
That first quarter illustrates why the Suns will have a very tough time winning this game. Matchup-wise, the Warriors are the worst team in the NBA for them. I don't see how the Suns can pull out this game, but weirder things have happened.
