I read this report from a fellow Warriors fan. There is some talk of Griffin.He drove baseline around Terrence Morris. Went up for the two hand slam. Met by Griffin in front and Morris from behind. Slams it home but has to hold onto the rim to keep from falling. By pulling the rim down the ball actually comes back out and goes up in the air about three feet. He pulls him self up by the rim, elevates and slams the ball home again. Unbelievable. They actually called basket interference on his own shot. Then there was an alley oop from Porter from half court. I'm not kidding, his chest was rim high. Then there was Griffin trying a turnaround in the lane and it getting swatted about 4 rows deep. And about 3 very soft, sweet, 3 pointers. Yes, it was the Jason Richardson show tonight. 28 points and 3 or 4 ESPN worthy highlights. I'm jealous. You guys are going to love watching this kid play everynight. He busts his ass every minute of the game and makes the game so much fun to watch. You just sit there and wait for the next spectacular play. Well at least I have Koby, Lamar and Darius. (i like Shaq, but I find his game boring) They won by 1 point again. Big shot by Oliver at the end and another good defensive stand on the last play. The final offensive sequence had Richardson getting the ball against Morris on the block. He got double teamed so he floated to the corner and passed out to Murphy. Murphy hit Oliver at the top of the key and he calmly put in a three pointer. The final defensive stand saw Oliver doing a great job denying the point guard the ball. Their center was stuck with it above the top of the key. The finally got ther point the ball and he tried a long two, but Antonio Harvey (remember him, Portland all last year, 6"11", good athlete) jumped out and got in his face. Porter and JR were smothering their guys and they were taken out of the play. Mario Bennett was also in. Give Oliver the credit for making them take 8 or 9 of their last 15 seconds to get into their set. ( he still cannot shoot) They did play Arenas at the point twice. He had 6 or 8 points and probably 2 or 3 steals) They were falling behind while he was playing point. They brought Oliver back in and they caught up. I don't really know what to make of that. I really enjoy watching Arenas play. He played less minutes tonight because of Porter, so you may not see as many steals, but he played well. I really enjoy his game. I am leaning toward him over Vonteego, (better shot, better feel for the game???) but who knows. I'm just a fan. Porter cracks me up. The guy is all over the place. Incredible driving layup on one play and an airball of epic perportions on the next. He is the new Gatling. An energizer for sure. Great scrambler on D. And I love how he drives to the middle and can elevate very quickly and get off a 12 to 15 footer. If Richardson ever develops that move, wow!! Murphy had an off night shooting (finished with around 15 points) but again made some key hustle plays at the end of the game. Potential problem though, maybe. Eddie Griffin is very tall and long. I don't know if that had anything to do with his off shooting night, but when he pulled up for his shot Griffin had his hand right in his face. Hopefully he was just off tonight and it was not really a bother. Richardson over Griffin is a no brainer, and I like Griffin alot. He is a good passer and very fluid. Seems a little passive and his shot is a little awkward. Does not seem to like contact much either. Great body and quick. Not quick with the ball though. Needs to get stronger, but very skilled and smart. Speaking of contact, JR loves it. He was posting up Morris and killing him. I was not expecting a post up game, but he up faked him one time and spun around him for the easy lay in. Another time he just muscled him down and then faded back and shot over him. And lastly,unrealated to the post up game, he drove from half court, thru everyone, for a huge right handed windmill slam. Very fun!! Anway, a really fun game, (or should I say a great time out Yuck) And I apologize for my sloopy writing style. Its kind of funny. I made my living as a songwriter for 15 years. Oh well.
