    They didn't sign Adelman to a new extension. The Rockets exercised an option for an extension.

    Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Next year is looking a lot better than this one, (Yao coming back, K-mart being here for the whole year, Morey possibly making some moves in the off-season), why would Adelman walk away now?

    I can see coaches walking away when:

    1. They are too old
    2. They have issues, medical and otherwise
    3. They get fired.

    Most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while.

    (1) He has an extension already.

    (2) His staff has or are getting extensions.

    (3) He loves his team and looks forward to coaching them.
