Ok, so I went to a tattoo parlor with my friend who was getting an eagle tattoo on his shoulder and back. While the artist is doing his work on him, he starts talking to us and we got along pretty well. About 2 hours later after he was done, he shows us a large poster with 26 chinese charatcers on it and proudly tells us that some guy sold this to him and had told him that each character on there was the equal of a, b, c, etc. He had gotten it because so many of his customers wanted their names in Asian characters, and apparently he had been using it for a few months. We quickly tell him there's no such thing and that if he had used the chart to tattoo "John", the guy woulda been walking around with chinese characters that translated to roughly "Flower Country Ten Wind". He looked EXTREMELY distressed after we told him this and quickly shooed us outside as he had some phone calls to make.
So you get chinese characters AND and indian name in the process. Two-for-one! Sounds like a good deal?
hotballa maybe you can help me with the true meaning of my tattoo. send email so i can send you my pic of my tattoo!!
sorry bro, my reading level stops at grade 1. There are plenty of Chinese members here though who probably have higher reading levels than I do.
getting a chinese character tattoo screams raging douche. kind of like popped collars, beer funnels and spiked hair.
I was just about to go out and get "Flour country Ten Wind" on my back, but I guess I won't be original now. Darn
I think the chinese character tattoo might not scream that if it was on a Chinese person. The style of the spikes might also change. There are a few spiked hair styles that are ok on some folks.
