It's good to finally hear Adelman speak of Williams. He even went as far as to say that he will play tonight.
Nice! I do like his game and think he'll be a good replacement for Battier in the future. He can score, play defense, and play above the rim. But, in the end, he may just end up being another trading chip to bring CP3 and/or MELO
The current team is 16-19 and has the potential to really get a lot worse. I see no reason Williams shouldn't be playing more minutes even when AB returns.
I'm still trying to get over why he and Lee didn't see more time together before now. I think the thing with Adelman is he doesn't like change a lot. As many of us have seen, he doesn't like to sway to far from the norm when it comes to his vets.
Nope, do not blow it up, play the young guys, see what you got and keep a veteran or two around to teach and then attack it in trades or in the offseason. DD
IDK, we still have a good amount of season left and to start playing the young guys more would damage our chances now. I say, if thee is no hope by the deadline, then it's whatever.
Problem I see with waiting much longer is that with this group of guys we are 16-19, is there any signs that point to a turn around? In December we got away with some major flaws because of the competition but the first three games of 2011 has exposed some serious concerns that just won't go away. Even against the Blazers on Wednesday, we were getting beat pretty badly until Martin exploded but as soon as he was taken out/cooled off Portland went back to kicking our ass.
This team is going nowhere, we need to get the young guys some time. Build their value to trade them or find that guy that can be a star.
Let the kid grow... Like DD said in another thread it's time to decide if we are rebuilding or trying to contend because I'm tired of seeing all the young guys not get enough playing time that they will need if we are going to contend in the future.
