    Drug War Clock

I remember a few people talking about sources and their accuracy. One gentleman in particular liked to use the WhiteHouse website on their drug policy.

All of this websites sources are from the FBI and other related government agencies.

I just can't get over the insane numbers that we spend yearly and how many people we lock up for a "drug" that has never killed anyone.

So you're recommending a policy in which we only lock up murderers? What, everyone else gets a fine?

Can you tell me what percentage of the people mentioned in the statistics did not know the potential consequences of their actions before they made the decision to do drugs? Just an estimate please.

If you can find anywhere in my post that I was recommending a policy to only lock up murderers go ahead.

I am against the trafficking of mar1juana over 1-2 oz personally.
I think if done responsibly, recreational MJ use shouldn't be a crime. But of course if you are under the influence and drive you should have the same repremands as a DWI. Also underage use should be outlawed like alcohol and tobacco. I am leaning more towards an age 21 for MJ use though. I think you should legally be able to grow 5 or less MJ plants on your personal property.

But just because you got caught smoking a joint or holding a few grams I dont see the reason to imprison anyone. Our prisons are packed enough, without throwing, usually the youth, in them and when they are released are usually worse.

Almost 100% percent I would say knew the consequences that followed their actions. Do is make it right? No.

I am fighting for and end to prohibition and the basic human right to the intoxicant that I like:). I don't drink alcohol, I rarely smoke cigarettes. I have been tring to quit. (Those things will kill you;))
And I don't do any other "drugs" included over the counter medicine.

Why do you think I shouldn't be able to smoke a joint every other weekend or so?

(Many edits brought to you by your friendly neighborhood pot smoker.)
