Man this is one bad ass horse. Leads wire to wire in Kentucky and has an awesome finish in the Preakness! Did anyone watch it today? Has to be one of the best horse races I have ever seen. Poor Proud Citizen could not hold on to second place at the end, but still a bad ass race.
Magic Weisner (2nd place horse) was hauling ass at the end, I was hoping he would have managed to catch Emblem for the dramatic win...
Man, I watched the race, and yeah it was alright, but why on earth does NBC need to devote two and a half hours of programming for a one minute race?
I dont think you get horseracing. Its all about whats going on around the race (odds ,predictions, owners, jockeys) . It takes a long time to wrap this all up....... and more advertising dollars find their way into NBC's pockets.
Proud Citizen looked like he was going to catch War Emblem in the final stretch but ran out of gas. Magic Weisner (45-1 odds) could have won it with extra few yards. I think he should have a good chance to win it at the Belmont which is longer. We could have a triple crown winner in 24 years this year.
I'm thinking War Emblem will win the Triple Crown. Point Given won the Preakness and Belmont I think, but he didnt seem that good. Who are some others that have won two legs in the Triple Crown? Fusiachi also did it rite? Anyways I am going to lay some money on War Emblem for sure. I was about to call a bookie today and put $250 on War Emblem, but decided against it. Would have fun $750!
