It's been about 6-7 years since I've hit the scanning market and it's about time to throw this one in the garbage. I was glancing around Office Depot and Microcenters websites but I'm not really sure what's good and what's not so good on the specs. Ideally, I'm looking for something that'll do high quality scans (I don't do anything for work, but just a solid house scanner) and that can scan books a lot easier than my current scanner. The latter is a big one because I'm not sure if any scanner can, but it sure would be nice to be able to scan single pages out of 700-1000 pg books easier than holding down the lid of my scanner, lol. Price range: can go up to about $300. Thanks for any help!
Hmm, doing some research it seems like $300 is almost the starting point for a good one, lol. I guess it wouldn't be an absolute deal breaker, but if it can't scan thick books better than my old one, probably won't end up buying one.
