Looking for an inexpensive efficiency or one bedroom in the Montrose area...preferrably a garage apartment or duplex, I'll consider a four-plex but an apartment complex is out of the question. Anyone here have rental property or know of a place??

You can email me through the BBS if you have leads, or reply in this thread.

Thanks... I looked today and saw a lot of places. Some out of my price range, some out of my personal taste range. I'll find something.

Why are apartments out of the question? Some of the new ones resemble townhomes.

I'd rather not share two walls, a ceiling and a floor with other tenants.

This is the best landlord you could hope for :

    http://www.lyders.net

He's in the Tamalalia thing each year, and some other infernal things. Absolutely great guy.

If that's not in the budget, he'll point you in the right direction. He owns quite a few things in that area. Email him.

We're looking to sell our 1 bedroom condo within the month. It isn't Montrose but on a nice quiet street literally right outside 610 on Memorial (less than a minute from Memorial Park)

It's 920 square feet with a patio. You have a neighbor above but there is some space between the neighbor on 1 side and Im not sure about the other side but I have never heard any noise so the wall must be fairly thick.

Let me know if you're interested.

I'm not trying to pry (so tell me to shut up if I am), but I thought you were married and had a kid (or kids). If so, is something wrong? I hope this isn't too personal.

Garage apartments galore in The Heights. Nice ones too. Not too far from the Montrose area.

    Good luck, rockHEAD.
Showing how ancient I am, I remember renting a 2 story house off of Montrose and W. Gray (is it grey or gray??) for $130 a month, bills paid, with a buddy and my girlfriend. It had a giant living room and a fire place. There was a deck upstairs you could reach through a big window and my old lady and I used to lay out there at night, sometimes, naked. (oh! the horror!)

    That was in 1970.
