Reasons to score: - He was born to shoot, when he gets streaky there is no stopping him now. - What opponents fear is his scoring ability (usually) rather than seeing the passes going to teamates who lays a brickhouse - If Yao is not scoring and Tmac keeps his passing mentality rather than step up throughout this season, the rockets are definitely going back to the lotto - The management got Tmac because of his scoring ability rather than his passing as seen in the Magic Era - Scoring more will get back Tmac's original shooting touch, which is a nightmare for other teams. Reasons to pass more: - Tmac's back although is no longer an issue, we can still see that he takes alot of care towards his back such as those less explosive dunks and vertical jumpshots - Tmac is surrounded by gunners such as Head, Pagett and Novak, even rafer is gunning down nothing but 3s - Yao has improved his consistency on scoring, which Tmac can rely his assists on - Rafer turns out to be our starting shooting guard - Tmac no longer has his touch (for now) Just some of my thoughts. I would rather see Tmac score because we do not have a 3rd option and I will be reluctant to accept Skip as the 3rd option
he basically has to play aggressive, smart, and confident every single game.. the same intensity AI brings everygame.. when he does that, either his shots are gonna fall, or he goes to the ft line, or he makes great plays..
This would be like someone starting a "Do you want JVG to coach more or smile more?" thread this past summer.
What makes you say that? He doesn't look nearly as quick or fluid as in previous years, and degenerative discs don't go away with rest. Evan
This should be a "pick your poison" choice for the other 29 teams in each every game they face our Rockets. For Rockets, 30/5 and 20/10 are exactly the same.
Does this poll imply that we accept the bitter fact that T-mac can do only ONE thing more? I want him to do both more--he's versatile!
I want him to drive more to the basket and shoot if no doubleteam comes or pass to the open man. depending on the situation.
i dont care as long as we win. If the open shooters make their shots pass, if they dont t-mac needs to take over with the scoring.
When Yao is on fire, step back to be the playmaker and let Yao scores; when Yao is cold or tired, step up and shoot more. It is good for the team as well as his back
I did not choose either one, becuase both are needed. I love the fact that T-Mac is willing to do whatever it takes to win, particularly when he sacrifices his own individual stats...!
i want mcgrady to do what it takes each game for us to rack up the W's. he doesnt need to be labeled a passes or a scorer only
