I'm sure this thread won't need many posts.

I don't want to see those hideous pointy 'R's everywhere. I would rather see the 'Toys (Backwards R) Us' R.

For what it's worth, I think it is a good idea. Anything that leads to a more racous, somewhat college like atmosphere and less of a I'm a rich business person with a hooker atmosphere at the games is preferable, plus I actually like the logo.

But the hookers they bring are so hot! Yet... I must agree. I feel weird cheering when I'm at Rockets games. I would cheer when I was a kid and looking back it now, I can tell it annoyed everyone around me. But back then I couldn't tell... But when I go these days, all I do is clap cause I'm surrounded by these OLD people that are pretty boring... So yes, more college like atmosphere PLEASE.

Unfortunately, with the new arena, I don't think we have a chance at that... It's probably going to get worse.

i cheer. i jump up and down and yell like a maniac. 11 rows up half court. surrounded by all the rich folks. screw em'. this year our season tickets are 175 dollars per seat. we have four seats. that's 700 dollars a game. for 700 dollars a game you better believe i'm going to have a good time regardless of how much it annoys the people around me.

also, if you're annoyed by people cheering the home team, you have no business being at a game in the first place.

You know what you guys SHOULD do?

Set the tone early. All of you show up to the first 2 or 3 home games, and make sure you scream like hell, making everyone reazlize how it should and will be in the new arena.

Someone should really get that going.

i'm definitely for a more raucous rockets crowd. i remember their was a group of people last year that would cheer for yao behind one of the baskets. they had signs in chinese some games. and i remember their was a group of 5-6 guys that painted letters on their front side cheering wildly for yao.

i think the face-painted drummers/hooligans who roam around the arena trying to get everyone rowdy is a step in the right direction for the rockets....but maybe there are better alternatives.

the last couple years had been really easy to sneak down into the lower level, which i had never sat in. the difference is like night and day...the real fans have to sit in the upper deck and are yelling like crazy up there while all the rich pansies are sitting in their corporate-paid seats and leaving 2 minutes into the 4th quarter. i went to an overtime game a couple years ago, where half the lower deck cleared out before o.t. even started.

ive had two executive-type "ladies" tell me to sit down cause they couldnt see. was standing up b/c there were like 2 minutes to go in a close game. i should have told them to get off their bon-bon eating bums, but i just ignored them.

    instead of mo's bros howabout...

    GREAT IDEA.

    I'm in!

If we can organize like 50 people......we can buy group tickets! Cheaper! :)

    That would be cool!

But we wouldn't need to have more than 5 "R" signs because Mo will never get more than 5 rebounds in a game...unless he improves.

    GREAT IDEA. Let's do it.

That wouldn't be a problem. If they put up an R everytime MoT got a rebound, you wouldn't have to worry about seeing more than 3 or 4.

If it helps us get a group rate, I'm in!!!

Maybe we should just have the cc.net section, we could get a group rate for just about every game if enough people signed on.

EDIT: We would consistently be the loudest section in the Summit (or garage, whatever we nickname the TC) if that happened.

Unfortunately, that won't be the case in the new building. The "club seat" area (the best seats between the baselines) will be separate from the rest of the seating and require you show your ticket before entering - i.e. Reliant or Minute Maid.

Personally, I think ANY idea that contributes to a more noisy atmosphere in the new building is a great idea.

    lol nice!

What's keep the bench low supposed to mean? :) It's pretty cool that all of our guys have an O resembled in their name...

    Anyways....TMo's gone man.

Yeah.....I'd just like to say once again that this is a fantastic idea!

If you like it...say I'm in!

    How about Boki's Ballerz?

We put up an R for every 30 second increment he plays. (we'll round up to put up more R's)
