Dragic Lamb Parsons Motie Jones with Machago (or some other FA) Lee Morris Luer Patterson coming off the bench
I already mentioned in the draft thread, that this may mean that Les has finally come around on tanking. But where's Scola in your lineup? We're probably going to resign Camby as well.
We will end up finishing with the projected 13th pick in the draft and we will all be excited that at least it isn't the 14th for once. Then come lottery time the 14th pick will win the lottery for the first time ever and we will fall back and end up picking in the 14th spot anyway.
Yes, but I doubt we will. 14th pick, here we come. It's difficult to feel positive about tonight. I feel like we have no direction. This doesn't really change anything.
If we can't get Howard, and it looks like the opportunity has passed, then I'm all for just developing the younger players.....mainly Lamb, Parsons, and White. Those guys would be great next to a stud pg and center. Might as well let Goran walk. Lowry/livingston Lee/Lamb Parsons/morris/Jones White/PPat/Jones Camby/Dmo/smith Leuer Brockman Fortson Obviously not a good team, but the young guys finally get to play. Trade Kmart, although he's an expiring, just so he won't pout and cause drama. Trade Scola for a contract that expires sooner.
If you want to tank, you don't re-sign Dragic, Lee, or Camby. You'll also need to trade Lowry for a future draft pick, they way Portland did with Wallace. Martin's bound to be injured. Amnesty Scola. Boom! We're the Charlotte Bobcats and looking at a top three pick.
What is the value in tanking if Morey is making the selections? We could have the #1 pick and he would still choose a PF-SF tweener.
Thats a lot of moves to make in a short period of time. Martin and scola need to go first. Dragic walks. Camby just wants to get paid to play at home, so i don't think he should leave. You do need a vet who's going to keep the young guys in check and teach them some things. Camby's at the point where he'll be happy doing that. Lee is a huge bargain. I'd rather keep him, see how other young guys develop/play during the start of the year, then consider trading Lee. Won't be hard to move him because he's underpaid.
