Possibly Wang will still start. It seems everytime Yao faced wang with mercy (sympathy, kindly, friendly, too familiar with each other's game, or whatever) and let Wang got high score and rebounds. So not a easy game for Rockets. Hopely other teamates will step up. But I don't expect Yao will have a big game. It will be good Yao equal to Wang in this game.
wang knows yao's game well. he's going to reach in and knocks the ball away from yao at least 2 times in the game. he will score 10 or 12 pts, 7 rebounds, and 4 fouls. as for yao, his line: 18pts, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 blocks, 5 turnovers. rockets wins!

If Wang starts for LA (assuming CandyMan and Brand are still out), the Rockets need to take advantage of that by driving to the basket all the time. Wang is not a good interior defender so I pray Stevie, Mobs and JPo continuously attack the rim rather than settle for long range dumpers. Francis also needs to find a way to stop Andre Miller from running the show. A concerted effort must be made to make sure Dre does not penetrate into the heart of our defense like he surgically did last time out.
This is just like when Hakeem was near the end of his career, and during the first part of his lat season here, he was horrible. But still, I remember, when we played the Lakers, Shaq didn't abuse him and Hakeem came out with one of his better performances. It's a respect thing I guess. Yao needs to get it out of his system, because our playoff hopes depend on it. Phoenix won't lose every game they play. We NEED this win, we really do. We need 6 more wins for the season. i would have to say its r****ded to think that wang 'knows' yao's game just because they come from the same country and national team. i wouldnt expect samaki walker to know how to play shaq just because they are on the same team.

Defense it might pose some challenge for Yao because Wang is good outside shooter and Yao does not like to go to far outside. Maybe we should play zone or put Eddie on Yao and Yao on Park. Park also has slower steps than Wang. If Wang miss the first three shots, the peril is much less because Clippers will not feed him the ball.
i was at that game......i like wang. he has a decent offensive game. but i think yao can outplay him anyday. yao gives him too much respect or "face" in chinese culture
Yeah, that's what I am worrying about. How did Wang do offensively the other game? Or did he not play long enough to tell? Wang is a pretty good shooter, and Yao may not want to go out that far. But if he does, Wang is faster than Yao.. so he might drive past him. Hmmm...

Wow, if Wang is the starting center for tonight's game, this game should be fun to watch. Yao said that he will do the jump ball if Wang is starting, and he also said that he really want to against Wang one on one, because both of them haven't play each other since 2001, so expect this one come out to be fun, it would be a rematch of the CBA final. I'm looking forward to it.
If Yao is really motivated for him, he may be motivated to abuse Wang into a poor performance. I hope Yao shakes off this hold Wang has on him for good tonight.
