I know it’s a reach at 9, but I really liked what I saw from him in the tournament. His release is super quick and he’s got great size if you play him at point. And his range is way beyond the three point line. His shooting form kinda reminds me a bit of …… Steph Curry lol.

The only downside is I’m still high on Sheppards potential. But I wouldn’t be upset if we got Clayton in the draft especially if we end up trading Jalen he could take some of his minutes. I feel like he’s not that much smaller than Jalen.

You know it's not illegal to trade back?

Totally ok with me. The main point wasn’t to take him 9th regardless of his projected place in the draft. Just that he seems like he would be a good fit if we don’t move up to first four picks. I acknowledged he’d be at reach at 9.

Not sure if anyone else watched him much, I’ve seen other potential names come up but haven’t seen his name yet. For example, as of now they got us projected to take Knupple in mock drafts. I’d much rather have Walker Clayton (totally ok if it means a trade to get him).

It is a reach at 9.

He killed in the tournament, but he looked lost against UH. And this was against not the most athletic guy in Emanuel Sharp. Also on the older side for a lotto pick. Pass.

Also, **** that guy. **** Florida.

Fair enough. I just think he’ll surprise some people at the next level. I’ve been wrong plenty of times though ;)

Try to move up a few to get Maluach. At his worst he is Rudy Gobert. Plus with Adams and Hakeem looking out he will be in good hands.

I like his shooting but he’s pretty redundant with Reed and I’m hoping Reed will take a step next year. He’s also a small guard. The combine measurements will be telling, but he might be shorter than Reed. Yes at the end of the lotto, but not at #9.

I think Kon is the best fit for what we need on our roster. Best shooter in the draft and doesn’t have to dominate the ball to be effective. If we end up drafting I’d rather trade up than trade back. We need premium players.

Kon, Reed and Cam, along with Bari, woukd give us a chance to have a fleet of home grown shooters and finally balance the roster long-term.

Looks more like Seth Curry than Steph Curry. He is nice but as previously said he is redundant for us. He would look great on the Magic though.

I agree on Kon. I think he'll be gone if we're picking 9th, but the shooting and floor spacing he'd provide would be really nice.

Not a great athlete but, at 6'7", having a fairly quick release coupled with great range would be cool with me.

I don’t think Cam is a shooter like the other guys you mentioned. I mean he’s a career 70% free throw shooter (college included)

One option I'd consider would be trading back for Rasheer Fleming and Clayton Jr. (#9 & #59 to Brooklyn for #19 & #26).

Not sure we’d need moving up for him. Some mock drafts have him going in the 20s now…

I agree it’s a question. But he did shoot 36% last year and 35% this year from long range. If he can just incrementally improve that he’s going to be a legit 3-level scorer. We’ll see.

I like him. Houston locked him up pretty good, but they did that to a lot of people.

And he can hit free throws....

His rating is all over the place. Seen him 3rd to 21st.

Yup. And I think he’s a better three point shooter than his percentages show since he takes a lot of high difficulty ones also.

I like that the shot is super quick compared to someone like shepards release being slower and he had some issues getting it off this year. (I’m still super high on Sheppard, just pointing out some differences).

He will be a high efficiency scorer in my opinion. And a knock down shooter especially if left open.
