How do you see Walt Williams fitting into the mix? IMO, he only can hit the three.

He is a locker room favorite. He will probably back up Griffin, while Shandon will back up Mobley. When Walt is on, the Rockets are usually on as well. He should be kept.

I wouldn't go so far as to compare him to Mad Max. When that guy was on, watch out. I remember discussing with friends who we wanted to take the last shot. It was always Max. He hit alot of buzzer beaters...and alot of other things. If his head was on right, he would have been awsome.

I don't see that same fearlessness in Walt.

Walt is very dangerous when he is on. Even though he doesn't have the quickness, he does have sum good head fake and dribble moves that get him in the lane and he CAN finish good at times. The main reason for his downfall is confidence, he loses it very easy and it takes him completely out of sync.

Walt is yesterday's news. He has head fakes, but he normally fakes himself out. He and Taylor made the rockets one of the slowest teams in the league.

I think Walt's value will likely end up being his contract. At the trading deadline, if noone wants him, I think we need to evaluate whether or not we keep him until the end of the season, which is the next time he will likely have trade value.

I don't see him having a spot on the roster unless we are unable to re-sign Moochie and Shandon or we don't sign any other perimeter players. I think that CD will try to trade him or may even eat his salary and release him.

Bullard will be back. Rudy wants him and he will come cheap just to stay in Houston. His shooting will be valuable in the zone , To bad his defense wont help much!

i'd want walt as a scoring option off the bench when griffin is struggling. i agree that when he's on, the rockets are on.

Walt is a lot of heart with the DC crew, and when hes on....he's on...but I see him playing into the 5.1 trade exception, maybe trade his 5 mill for someone with 10 mill like a Dale Davis.

The problem is that Walt won't break the rotation this year. Last year when he did break the rotation, sometimes he was on and sometimes he was rusty ( 0 for night). I remember lots of those nights.
