Used to be a Jazzhole song, now it's all he does.

Tonight's embarrassment: 0-9, including two dunks. Can't reach the hoop at 6'11".

Enough of trying to get him into the game. Hang up the shoes, Dream. They're doing no good on the court.

Never thought I'd see Hakeem Olajuwon fall apart before Patrick Ewing. And fall apart so completely! The broadcasters plainly don't know what to say. Tragic and unbelievable.

Hakeem hits a pair of shots, we hit a pair of free throws and we win.

Amazing. It was so painful watching him ... the first dunk where he just flat out saw the rim block him ... don't know what to say.

    Ooooooooh Caaanadaaaaaa....

Okay guys, let's face the truth. Dream is on his last wheels, played a subpar game tonite, has had a subpar year & it doesn't look any better in the future. BUT....He is not going to Retire or get Traded! These "complain about Dream" posts are getting boring.

Maybe this topic should become another forum..

Hakeem WAS the greatest. He proved he could not do anything.

Watch out for the Dream Police, I can hear the sirens now.
Anyways I thought this topic was about cool eighties songs and bands.

    Dunk...

Firstly this is a Houston Rox Game action forum. If Hakeem stinks every game, and in every game someone writes about it, it belongs here.

Secondly, if they bore you why read them?

Thirdly. Don't take any offense to the typed words above as they are solely the opinions of one poster and do not reflect the opinions, beliefs, or creative flow of the Admins.

Read this on the Espn Recap

"Houston's Hakeem Olajuwon sat out the first 9:49 of the fourth quarter and spent one late timeout clipping his fingernails"

    Now this is funny stuff

    Dreamshake,

Considering the BBS moniker that you use, how tough is this situation on you?

Mango...I could care less if Hakeem sucked, because he was too old, too injured, or lost his game.

What bothers me the most is that I truely believe that if he put forth a winning effort every night, he could at least put up Patrick Ewing numbers. Something like 15 and 9.

But watching him blow open dunks, walking up and down the court from the opening tip, not doing much on D, or at least grabbing some boards is a sin.

Which makes it very very tough to watch. Heck Dan Marino looked better going out than Hakeem does so far. And he has another Year and a half to go basically.

Maybe Dream's not playing well b/c he knows about the site, he reads it, and you're hurting him with your words.

We need a secret site... outside of the view of the team... that way we could do...

    Secret Posting...
    that's what we'd do...
outside of the view of the team...
so we wouldn't affect their play
and Hakeem, you know the Dream
    would play so keen.

In the middle of doing his dreamshake...
he notices that Pat doesn't take the fake...
they end up loosing the game but he still feels swell

cause he doesn't know that you're giving him hell

I almost cried watching him tonight.

Clipping your nails? Laughing and ****? Wheres the pride man. Wheres the pride.

He no longer looks like the Dream that got me to lace up basketball shoes. This, my friends, is a sad, sad, sad case of a legend on his final, final, final legs.

I hope its true that he really isn't 37. I hope that he really is 44. Maybe we can use that as an explanation of why this man has fallen so far, so fast.

I saw the game partially tonight. The sadder thing about Hakeem is that he is not on his last leg. He still has one more year of over $15 million make-up pay to go.
My friends, can you really still say he is as great as MJ, Bird, and Magic? May be his nails were the problem that affected his playing.

    Dreamshake,

I don't need a dissertation on "Houston Rox Game action forum". This forum is full of opinions, which attracts all posters. My beef is that this is turning into a bore of a topic.

I don't read the "Dream sucks" threads, just picked this one to make my opinion post.

The Dream made (2) Championships possible & he doesn't get the respect he deserves. I agree that his good days are over & it would be nice if this were his last year of his contract, but it isn't. He won't be traded, won't retire, & won't restructure his contract. Why harp on that?????

I really hope Rudy and Carroll do everything they possibly can to buy out Dream's contract and convince him to retire. Despite whatever physical skills he may or may not have left, it is obvious his heart has left the game. It is a detriment to the team, and a sad thing to watch.

Absolutely. All of them are champions. Hakeem won his titles later in his life & career than MJ, Bird and Magic. I feel that is one reason Hakeem's decline has come so quickly. His body has taken a pounding for a long time. Only MJ retired near the top of his game, and props to him because that is a very rare thing in pro sports. Both Bird and Magic were also shells of their former playing selves when they quit, just like Dream. He has nothing left to prove, and he needs to ride off into the sunset this season rather than next.
