My little girl and her grandmother were at Wal-Mart last night, and this ignorant employee knocked my little girl down with a 10 foot ladder. He busted her upside the head pretty good, and laughed about it. If I was there, this individual probably would not be alive today, but I think her grandmother handled it pretty well. Anyone have any ideas what I should do about this? I do not want to let this stand, he made my princess cry, and thought it was funny. I am sure I should pursue legal action, but not sure what steps I should take? Law dogs help please!!

    Thanks!

Well, if you weren't there, then you really don't know what happened.

You said the employee "busted her head". Did she sustain an injury? Laceration? Contusion? If there wasn't a noticeable injury, then it couldn't have been that bad. Could her grandmother be embellishing the story a little bit? You know how grandmothers are. They think their grandchildren can do no wrong. Did you get the employee's side of the story? Maybe he was intially concerned about her, then laughed about it after finding out she was OK.

I think we'll need a few more details before the awesome clutchfans legal team can provide any advice....

Walmart is a scary place. Not somewhere you want to take little children.

1- write a letter to , or demand to speak to the guys superior.

2-officially boycott Wal-Mart - and try to get as many as your friends and family in on it as possible.

3 - buy your little girl chocolate ice cream :)

How did the grandmother let the child run off and get hit by a 10 foot ladder? Sounds like the granny is covering her azz for her negligence

sorry to hear that your daughter got hurt though

Sorry about your daughters pain but did she agree to hardcore match rules beforehand? Otherwise the ref should've rung the bell and declared her the winner. I hope she tagged her grandmother in.

Could you forgive a Wal-Mart who cheated on you? I can't help it, why do little girls have this effect on Wal-Mart? Wal-Mart is haunting me.

Do you think the Wal-Mart employee "Kicks ASS"?

It is scary when you consider each store seems like it has about 10,000 cameras recording every square inch inside and outside the store.

I'm sure several of the cameras has this event clearly recorded. If WM is at fault, I bet those recordings somehow disappear.

I don't think you can do anything if there is no physical marks etc.

There is always a manager in charge. Should have when you found out it happened last night went back to the Wal-Mart, spoken with the Manager. Find the exact location in which it happened and see if it was in the view of a surveillance camera; in which case have the manager pull the tape or make sure the tape is pulled (in case they run it on a loop). If he refuses you can always call the police and have an incident filed. Have the manager write an internal Wal-Mart incident report (which will get filed with the "home office"). Take your daughter in to the emergency room to have it looked at (Wal-Mart will cover the bill).

Ask the manager for the Wal-Mart procedure on carrying a ladder (there is such a thing, but I don't remember it). Determine if the employee was following that procedure. And then work from there....

That's pretty much the standard procedure for incidents (ie slippy on a liquid spill).

But it sounds like since you let it go overnight its not really serious, just got you mad. If it were serious it would have been taken care of last night.

Look on the bright side, it could have been worse.

Mother sues Wal-Mart after employee molested her 10-year-old daughter

COLUMBIA, S.C. — What should have been a fun night of shopping turned into an unforgettable nightmare for a 10-year-old South Carolinian after she was molested in the electronics aisle of Wal-Mart by a registered sex offender, who also happened to be a store employee.

Now, after almost six years, the civil case filed against the retail giant is finally going to trial. Opening statements are expected Tuesday.

Maria Hollins, the victim's mother, is suing Wal-Mart for gross negligence for an unspecified amount of damages. Hollins claims the retailer was negligent in not performing employee background checks and should have kept three-time convicted sex offender Bobby Devon Randall away from her daughter.

On Sept. 25, 2000, Maria Hollins and her two daughters entered a Richland County Wal-Mart. The 10-year-old victim wandered into the electronics aisle where Randall was working while her mom and sister went to another area in the store.

In the early 80's I was walking through Wal-Mart following my dad and I touched the inside of this thing....

It's called a 'Tater Twister and as I did I guess there were still blades inside it exposed and it cut my finger all to hell.. My dad took me to the bathroom and cleaned it off and we finished our shopping like normal.. I still have a really bad scar from it, i just think it's funny how today we are so sensitive with our kids.. I understand how my story (My own stupid fault) and your daughters are different considering she was apparently just standing there and did nothing to deserve this, but what do you really want the outcome of this to be???

Walmart to pay the medical bills?

    A monetary settlement?

    The guy fired?

    An issued apology?

I think others are right, you were not there. So, you really do not know what happened. I am sorry that your daughter got hurt though.

When I was about 8, I was running down an aisle, chasing my brother, slipped on a wet spot and knocked over an end display full of ketchup bottles. My dad made me go to tell the manager, apologize and help clean the mess up. Ending up with a bit of broken glass and ketchup all over me.

    My how times have changed.
