15 points and 10 TOs so far.

Also went 1-8 from the floor.

And how did Shaq deliver when Wade sucked against Chandler? 4-11 from the floor for 13 points, 3 rebounds, 5 big TOs.

    Yep, and Miami won.

I was really impressed by Kirk Heinrich's defense on Wade.

You play SMART individual and team defense against him and you can contain him, I get so frustrated when I see people go for his fakes from 20 feet out and he jumps into the defender to draw a cheap foul. You let him shoot it and he'll miss 75% of those shots, stay in front of him and funnel him to help defenders and you could draw some charging fouls on him or force him to throw up a bad shot or pass. Yeah obviously it's not that easy, especially when the refs give him all the calls, but most of the time defenders make dumb mistakes against him and make him look like the most dominating guard in the league.

Like Brand, and Battier, Grant Hill or maybe Lattner, or perhaps Corey MacGetty (sp?)

Duke has more good players in the NBA than most teams......

And Reddick has outscored them all.

It is a perimeter league now, and the guy can flat out shoot, if Jon Barry can play for 14 years, so can Reddick.

I think most people here will concede Reddick can be like Jon Barry. He will not be a star. But, yes, he can hang around the NBA for a while as a specialist player. But lets get real, his talent is nowhere near Brand, Hill or Maggette. Those guys improved after they got to the NBA. I don't think Reddick can get a whole lot better than he is now. He's a mid/late 1st round pick.

jj is nothing like kirk hinrich (game wise).

kirk is a very good sized pg, jj is an undersized shooting guard. kirk didn't get drafted for his long distance shooting, jj will be. kirk is a very good defender, jj is not. and the list goes on and on.

Maybe it's easy to say than to do. I always get frustrated when people went for the fake. Just put your hands up, don't leave the ground, how many good jump shooters are out there nowadays? Those kids go for the fake even Cato was posing it. WTF was that kind of preparation? You play so many games against same players, how can you not know whehter one can make a jumper or not? In my opinion, you only need to watch for Wade's drive, although it's difficult to defend. But he's what? 15% behind the arc this year? Just watch him shoot.

They look similar and they're the same height. Hinrich was a good long distance shooter in college. That's pretty much where the similarities end.

Hinrich was an accomplished college PG before playing more of the 2 his senior season. Redick lacks the ballhandling and passing skills to ever play the point regularely on the NBA level. Hinrich is regarded as a very good defender at the NBA level, Redick is regarded as a very poor defender even at the college level. Hinrich is quick and athletic, Redick is slow and lacks explosiveness. Hinrich was a disciplined shooter and a willing distributor, Redick's shot selection borders horrific.

I really don't see a lot of similarities.

If J.J. had the athleticism and ball handling skills of a Kirk Hinrich, he'd be a top five pick in the draft.

I watched this game. Miami just didn't show up to play at all and the scary part was that they still won. This team is on a serious roll right now and I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being the team to come out of the east.

Kirk Hinrich? That's the worst one yet.

It's a tired line, but I'll trot it out: nobody would EVER make that comparison if they weren't both white. Black Kirk Hinrich, the guy who shuts down Ray Allen but goes 4 of 18 every so often, would NEVER get compared to black JJ Redick -- who looks like a cross between Langdon (coming off screens) and Salim Stoudemire. And that's not to denigrate Redick, as he combines the best (most NBA-ready) qualities of both Langdon and Salim.

Switching races, would Michael Finley (in his heydey) ever be compared with Michael Redd?
