I really thought he was during his 30 ppg year. He was averaging 34 ppg to closer out the last months of the season. He did this with loads of FTs and almost 50% fg, not to mention him being probably the best defensive SG as well as decent playmaking skills. I believe he might have the most blocks ever for SGs under 6-5.
this is a fact. but lakers winning and kobe's legacy have helped with his reputation. kobe bryant is still a top 5-7 player in the game right now though.
This is true, but Kobe doesn't get hurt and even when he does he plays through his injuries. That helps Kobe's season stats a lot. (getting 10-20 more games a season).
Kobe has clearly declined. His competitive fire seems to have dimmed a bit too. Maybe he's finally beginning to feel the mental fatigue now. Though I am a certified Kobe hater, I don't think Wade has ever been a better player than Kobe.
I don't feel that Kobe would have any hunger any more... he has five rings, his legacy is pretty much cemented as-is.
This. Really hard for me to justify putting a guy who's go-to move is the phantom freethrow over Kobe Bryant. Wade doesn't have a 3 pt shot, and he's also shorter and more injury prone than Kobe. LBJ though is another matter entirely....
the Lakers lost against the Heat, Lebron got better numbers than Kobe. I dont know if Lebron played better, because I didnt watch the game.
He is better now because Kobe has gotten old and lost a step, but Wade has never been better than Kobe, Kobe is better performer in the playoffs, Kobe is more clutch, and Kobe has more heart than Wade.
hell, kobe seemed like he was trying to get suspended to not even play in the christmas the other day.... i've actually never seen another sport where someone can tell the ref **** you and not get suspended, lol
