Pretty much guaranteed if they all do imo, plus they would likely upgrade their bench big time, and or add a free agent like Lowry, Deng or Ariza. I'd be happy with that, keeps Lebron in the east.
I think I will legit die laughing. I feel bad for him, he's like the human punching bag of the NBA. He's not even a scrub, but people just love to make fun of him.
This can actually help the Rockets land Carmelo Anthony. If Miami ends up with James/Wade/Bosh/Lowry that really hurts the argument that Chicago has an easier ride to the Finals than Houston.
Ehh, that's just one team, though. The road to the Finals in the East won't get hard until the ECF. The WC side is already difficult in the first round.
I agree. Even a Chicago with Melo and a healthy Rose would have a pretty tough time getting past that combo. Pretty much destroys the "stay in the East for an easier path to the finals) argument. Jesus, if they actually did get Lowry... I think I'd cry. Would be nice to keep Lebron in the East if we don't get him, but that team would be freaking ridiculous.
The Heat have to offer the supermax to Lebron just to have a chance to keep him. Wade will probably be re-signed but he has to take a paycut. They might want to explore players other than Bosh at the 4/5. So Bosh might become an FA.
He'd consider it, but ultimately will stay with Miami. Bosh won't be interested going to the teams that can sign him to the max outside of Houston. And then he'd go for the sure thing and sign with Miami.
I'm actually shocked Wade is going to opt out. The Heat did all they could this year to save him for the playoffs and he still ran out of gas. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes Stephen A. Smith's advice and just shuts it down for the first part of the season and gets knee surgery. Either way, I don't see LBJ leaving now if he talked them into pay cuts. Hopefully I'm dead wrong and Pat Riley somehow messes this up but my optimism took a hit with this news.
I'm not going to believe a damn thing until it's on espn.com and the main front page article. These twitter people are ridiculous.
