    Woman burned by exploding cellphone

A mobile phone has exploded in a woman's face while she was out shopping. The blast caused burns to her face and neck.

The freak incident happened in Amsterdam earlier this week.

According to local reports, the phone switched itself off when the 33-year-old women dropped the phone. When she switched it back on again, the phone exploded.

Paramedics arrived quickly on the scene to treat her for her injuries.

Oh, well that's good to know that Nokia won't take responsibility for a faulty product.

I feel safe ans secure with my cancer-causing, possibly exploding talking device. But hey, it is COLOR!!!

i don't think the problem is nokia taking responsiblity for their product, the problem is using non-nokia parts for your nokia phone. they can't warranty a battery that is not made by them.

You would still sue Nokia though, as well as the makers of the non-Nokia parts. Nokia is in the chain and probably has the deepest pockets. You want Nokia in the complaint b/c they can easily shell out the money for the settlement or judgement. If Nokia is not at fault or partially at fault, then let Nokia sue the makers of the non-Nokia parts for the money they are owed.
