Ah man! I miss the Westheimer Coloney arts festival! That was some great times! Guess they don't have it anymore huh?
Does anyone know what time it starts? I work at a prime spot on Allen Parkway, but my shift doesn't start until 2pm...I hope I won't be too late!!!
Surprisingly, no... last year I rode with Kirk (monkey jesus) and we had one person tell us that his car was sacreligous. This year we didn't hear one negative comment, it was all positive. Someone even told us a joke, Ever heard of an agnostic dyslexic? they don't believe in Dog! I got to drive an art car this year (my friends Jesus Christ Monkey Car)... it's amazing how many people line Allen Parkway for this event, it's so awesome! more links and photos: My Photos: Art Car Parade 2004 - Houston, Tx The Orange Show: Art Car Parade Houston Art Car Club Newspaper Article: Art car parade hits Houston streets
I was in town tonight and went by the Art Car Museum on Heights. I saw the dragon, this years winner, being set up for display. cool stuff, looks like one of those Astroworld parking lot shuttles, I wonder how long it takes to create something like that?
