DallasNews.com is running a survey on the five finalists for the Texas coin to come out in 2004. At the moment, the coin leading the list is a coin with an outline of Texas and a big star right over Dallas (what a shock). This is just their informal poll but it does show the finalists. Enjoy. I took #2 myself. http://www.dallasnews.com/cgi-bin/survey.cgi?survey=742&step=answerSurvey
I voted for # 2 as well. Do you think there's any correlation between the fact that this is in a Dallas paper and the one with the star over Dallas is in the lead? By the way, it looks like #2 has a small outline of Texas at the bottom with a star in it as well. Where does that star look like it's located to you?
I voted for one because I dont live in texas adn I dont care. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Really none of those look real "nice" but I would have to go with 2-4 cuz they are all pretty much the same thing
By 2004, They will be wishing that they had put a Rockets logo on there somewhere. Now I'll buy that for a dollar..
Austin I haven't voted....I was hoping for something better like two crossed six shooters or an electric chair or sumthin'. The star has to be there, so every one in Dallas will claim it was designed after the Cowgirls anyway.
I picked no.3 because I thought no.2 was too plain. TAKE THAT YOU JEFF FOLLOWERS! Anyways, no.5 is leading. WHAT THA??? 10.24% 28.70% 17.57% 3.53% 39.97% [/list=1] Anyways, I think people missed the Texas outline in no.3.
Number 5 is just plain boring! Number 1 and Number 3 show the most about the state. I think the Alamo and "the Lone Star State" are a must on the coin. Number 2 comes in a close second.
I agree that none of those choices reflect anything about the history or culture of our state. BORING!
I also picked number three. It was the one I liked best of the three that stated: The Lone Star State Of course, five was never a consideration, so in a way, I guess I'm a Jeff follower too.
