You can be able to vote for the all-star game online from now. Just check out http://www.nba.com/news/allstar_balloting_001113.html to vote online. The all-star game would be on Sunday February 11, 2001 in Washington DC. It would be great to see Steve Francis play in his home town for the all-star game. So please vote for Francis! I would also like to see at least one other Rocket player to be in the all-star game. It'll be great. We have four guys on our team who are future all-stars. We are definetly a fantastic team. Don't forget to vote for Cuttino Mobley, Steve Francis, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shandon Anderson and Maurice Taylor for the all-star game. In unrelated news it's my 100th post

Vote for Taylor so the West can have a better starting forward than T Duncan or C Webber or Kevin G..

Its not about being better Mango. Its about who you like more. Rocket fans should be voting for their own players. Duncan, Webber and KG are definitely better then Mo, but that doesnt mean you have to vote for them.

You wouldn't be embarrassed if the ballot box got stuffed with enough Taylor votes that he ended up a starter?

    Embarassed??? HELL NO!!!

That would just show the rest of the league that Houston has mad love for their players!! Call it being a homer or whatever, but do you think LA fans were voting for Kobe because they thought he was better than Jordan?? PLEASE!!

If it were really about who was better, the fans would be totally left out.

Thank u Pimp, exactly my response. In fact I'm going to be a major contributor in stuffing the ballots full of Rocket players [IMG]

I would be like beyond happy if Francis, Mobes, Taylor and Hakeem were starting in the all star game.

Fadeaway Im sorry but thats a pretty dumb way of thinking. You want me to vote in the best players, but yet you voted in Fortson over Duncan, Webber and KG [IMG]. The all star game will always be a popularity contest. Thats why people like Cassell, Spreewell, and Shareef will barely ever make it. The most popular players with me are my own Rockets players, thats why im going to vote for them.

KG, Webber & Duncan will get enough votes anyway. I voted for players who I feel deserve to be there, but probably won't get very many votes. My vote for Fortson is more of a protest than anything else, because I feel he should at least be on the damn ballot. I mean, really, why should Mo Taylor be there and Fortson be left off? What the hell has Taylor done so far this season besides hurt himself? At this point, Danny is putting up better numbers than Duncan, for god's sake. And don't give me any of this "the season is still young" crap.. if you aren't going to base the vote on how the players are playing this season, what are you going to base it on?? How well they played in 1997? Height?

IMO, at this point in time, none of the Rockets deserve to be selected. The only two who should even be on the ballot are Francis and Mobley, simply because they are the core of their team.

Hakeem should be selected because this is his final year. A legend like him deserves to have one more all star appearance. I hope he at least is selected by the coaches so he can backup Shaq.

I didnt say they would make the all star team. Francis has a slight chance, but not the rest of em. But that also doesnt mean I wont try to stuff the ballot boxes with u know what. And if Francis doesnt make it, I am going to blame it on Florida [IMG]

I agree with Mango. It's not about who you like more, it's about who is better. I didn't vote for any Rockets because, quite frankly, none of them deserve it.

Some of these players work their asses off and they need to get recognized.

On the other hand, I didn't vote for KG, CWebb, Duncan or Mo for my western forwards. I picked Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Danny Fortson (write-in vote.. can't believe he's not on the ballot).

If any of the Rockets make the All-Star team, Al Gore's campaign has already said they would demand a recount by hand and challenge the accuracy of the results in state and federal courts if necessary.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson is already en route. [IMG]

    LilFrancis,

Someone being a little biased? An SG shooting 17 times a game at a horrific 32%, averaging just 14 points a game is an All-Star? [IMG] (j/k, I know you like Hughes)
