With the tougher part of the schedule behind us, let's focus on the better things to look forward to. Out of the same draft, Landry and Brooks overcame a lot the past three years and are still rolling. With Landry on pace to win 6th man of the year, Brooks has got to get some recognition. Brooks is having a good month and is our best chance of Houston Rocket representation in the All Star game this year (italics to exclude any player who just might make the All Star game wearing Rockets red, currently not playing) Post some of your favorite AB moments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X3LN0yFJwk Barry to Brooks connection -- Mutumbo sighting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c40AjPd1ltI&feature=related Despite the loss: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H08QlVTud24&feature=related
Sorry but I wont be voting him in. Today Steve Nash showed us who was better, playmaking and scoring. Brooks still needs to learn how to defend. And to think he deserves a spot over Williams and (bleh) Paul is ridiculous.
Random thought: If Tracy gets voted in the All-Star game, shoudn't he play to show other teams if he really is back or not..if he dont get traded by then, i say he will. He wont have any other opportunities
Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Tony Parker, Chauncey Billups, Tyreke Evans, ... Landry is more deserving.
I KNOW, but he aint gon play no more, so why not play in the all star game and show that you're athleticism is back by makin highlight plays and such
The top ten teams in the W. Conference all have at least one player going to the All Star game, except for Houston. As exciting as that is, I would also like AB to get plenty of votes. He deserves recognition from the fans. Regardless if he makes it, I think that Houston fans should support our hometown players. I do not think that he is our best player. I do not think we have a best player, yet. That's the beauty of our team. He is just more All-Star-like.
It was either a Landry or Brooks' thread. Brooks would be more exciting to see in the All-Star game, given how the All-Star games are played.
I was having the same thoughts the other day, say he goes out there and is "decent" amont the leagues best his trade value damn near doubles, on the other hand he goes out there and looks like an ass, in that case...we do the exact same thing we're doing now, can't really lose on the Rockets end.
He needs to make better decisions. When his shot isn't falling he looks lost at times. I also notice that he dribbles into crowds when there is no seam for penetration. Now either he doesn't recognize that he is dribbling himself into a bad situation or he realizes it and does it anyway. Either way, it's dumb. Brooks needs to watch tapes of Lowry 24/7. Either that or Lowry needs Aaron's jump shot.
Concur. Besides, while he is one of the better scoring point guards in the west(still behind the big 5) and the change of pace for the all star roster would be nice, he still isnt deserving of the spot. I think it would be acceptable as an injury replacement if a couple go down or whatever, but as is right now he shouldn't be there.
Landry is much more deserving...guard is too deep... There are like 6 no brainers that deserve to get in over AB, more arguable ones. Landry though, that's where it's at.
