The Olympiacos are playing the Spurs tomorrow so if anyone want's to say their goodbyes because we probably won't see him until next season when he comes back to the NBA. The game is at 8:30 EST in San Antonio. Some people probably won't even care but I thought Von made an awesome contributions with his scoring last season so the least we could do is root him on for one more game.

This should probably be in the NBA Dish. Anyway, Olympiacos is stacked: Von Wafer, Josh Childress, Linas Klieza, and Theo Papaloukas. This could be a pretty entertaining preseason game.

Stacked in a european league sure. But those are bench players on an NBA team.

Hope Von does well. He's not out of the NBA because of his talent, but because of his attitude. I hope he shapens up and gets his priorities straight.

If the Spurs don't play their starting lineup the whole game then the Olympiacos may have a chance at winning. I can't wait for this game.

It would be funny if he had, "Should've paid me Daryl" written on his sneakers.

But this is a preseason game, so it should balance out. I doubt they would have Duncan or Parker out their for more then a quarter and a half of work.

He actually got about 5 offers from different NBA teams including the Rockets. But he wasn't getting offered anywhere near what the Olympiacos did. He got 5 million from them.

And I will post a stream of the game if I can find one.

    NOOOOOO !!!

Game is not on here in Austin........

Von did the right thing...he got a guaranteed $10 million, with no taxes that is more than Ariza and Artest are being paid this year, can't blame him for taking that when the Rockets and other teams were offereing around $1 million I think.

He is still young and if the climate turns, he might get a better deal next year or the year after.

I never said he wasn't looked at by some teams. But there's a reason teams didn't look at him seriously even after a nice, productive year last season.

That reason is his attitude. It sucks. Shooters/scorers from the guard position are a dime a dozen in the NBA, so he certainly doesn't help his case with a poor attitude and an inflated ego when all he can do is score and shoot the ball.
