i didn't know where to post this but where is Von Wafer in NBA 2K9? He is on the roster update but clearly does not look like him or shot like him? does anyone know anything about it?
he wasn't originally on the game so the 2k insider had to add him. If you look at all the other added players from the updates you'll see that none of them look like they do in real life.
Just a poor attempt to add him in I suppose. I want to say that his picture is actually a picture of Kareem Rush or some other relative unknown, but it's definitely not him. I played with him and he was garbage. You could probably go in and manually tweak his ratings so that it's a bit more accurate.
that's how it'll be for 2k9 but I think they'll address it on 2k10. if you have the latest roster update then you have Von Wafer on the Rockets for sure cause the was added I think some time around the 3rd update which was around the beginning of the season. I believe he's the one guy on our team rated 78 overall.
yea they do that with a lot of their players, some of them look like yao ming but with slightly different features or juwan howard with slightly diff. features
Aaron Brook and Artest are the beasts for me. Especially Brooks. He's averaging almost 22 points and 6 assists a game for me. Rafer hasn't been bad either off the bench. For one game, I was down by like 14 against the Mavs in the playoffs, and from the same spot, he hit five three pointers in a row. I love video games.
yea none of the pictures of the new players that were added are the pictures of them. don't know why but that just the case for 2k9. For Von, I was actually a little surprised they gave boosted his rating to a 78 overall rating because when the 2k insider first made him he was rated a 66 if I'm not wrong. He's really the third best scorer on the Rockets cause he's great to use on the fastbreak with the highest dunk rating on the Rockets has a great 3pt rating too(tied with Ron for highest on the team). I remember scoring like 75 points with him a couple of times online lol. Only if his ball-handling rating was a bit higher than he would be beast!
I noticed the same thing, it looks nothing like him. I don't even know why Yao Ming's rating dropped in the updates. That's why I didn't update it, and I don't understand why they didn't drop T-Mac's rating because it should be like 75.
It's annoying he's not on there. I don't have my 360 connected to the internet for those live updates or whatever so I just created him myself. And no, I didn't bother to the same for Joey Dorsey. I still have a hard time believing he's really on the team.
Joey Dorsey was the only player I seen that was added after the game came out with a real picture of himself.
Players that are added after the fact, as well as all the players available through the draft a combination of 2 real players on the game. I'm actually pretty damn good at deciphering which 2 they mixed.

I'm assuming that those pics are of the pc version, where you can do a lot of patching like that. I just created him myself and yeah his picture on the 2k insider looks like Kareem rush. I also gave him joe alexander's sig shot and it looks almost perfect to his real one...
