I'll believe it when a authentic source reports it.

    Great for Von.

So much for people thinking he was not an NBA player when he was just injured.

Talk to me when he's consistently producing for Boston. A 1-year minimum deal is really just the Celtics taking a flyer on his potential. With that sort of contract, cutting him in training camp would be no big deal.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised Wafer accepted a minimum deal.

Interesting signing...I had heard the Celtics were close to trading Big Baby and the Rasheed Wallace corpse contract to Portland for Rudy Fernandez and Marcus Camby. I would assume that deal is off now.

When he was on a team that emphasized team work before individual accolades, he demanded playing time, after that he demanded more dough.... we gave him the chance, he blew most of that...
so he got Shelden will type of money

Man, poor Doc. He has a good player in his hands but he better hope things don't get crazy with him.

Still, good for Von, loved him while we had him until he self-destroyed during the playoffs.

Nate, Von, and Big Baby off the bench. That's a solid second unit!

well...he's an NBA player only in the right situation. Boston is one of the few teams who could funnel his talents properly. KG is clearly the alpha male there and won't hesitate to smack him around. Rivers demands respect himself as well and he'll be playing behind a long time vet in Allen.

It can't hurt him, I am happy for him, he is a nice situational player.

Deepest squad in the league -- Jermaine O'Neal, Nate Robinson, Glen Davis, Marquis Daniels, Von Wafer, Avery Bradley, Luke Harangody, and possibly Rasheed Wallace will all be on the bench. Scary.

Good for him, he will be an outstanding backup for Ray Allen. In my opinion they should start Von over Ray because he is declining anyway but I know they won't do that.

Glad to hear my boy is back in the NBA.

With Ray's age, Von might get quite a few minutes a game.

So much for people thinking he is worth anywhere near MLE. One year minimum is about right.

Hopefully Wafer is not going to have problem again with his 7th coach on 7th team in his 6 professional years.
