Coach a must be off his rocker if he thinks that Yao Ming will be his Vlade as he tries to turn the Houston Rockets into his Houston Sacramento Kings.
If Houston is to be a winner both Tracy and Yao must be big time scorers.
The Point Guard needs be the one to make the plays!
Yao Ming's reputation as an NBA Basketball Player is at an all time low. Only he can reconstruct his MIND and Game. :p

Yeah, I guess that's why the game tonight was billed as the two best centers in the game matching up against one-another. Just plain stupid post.

YOA waits for a double team every time he touches the ball. This not only causes turnovers but makes the offense stagnant. Don't know if this is Yoa's fault ot RA wants him to wait for a double team..

Last year for a brief period when he was dominant, he was making his move right after getting the ball. Coaches need to point this out to him.

When Yao is doubled or trippled, he always managered to pass the ball to the open guys. Only problem is that the open guy cannot knock down open shots. So next time they will continue to double or tripple team Yao.

I, on the contrary, think Yao should learn some Vlade skill. He couldn't handle the all time low post. He either got fronted, or just got too tired. Both would make him low efficiency.
Think of last playoff. He was only guarded by Okur. And he was terrible.
Basicly, I think it's Yao's fault to refuse high post try. He doesn't know himself that clear.

I have to agree, this team is not constructed to play lack the old Sacto teams. Rick a good coach realizes his talent and changes the offense to fit that talent. Oops we have little talent, can't shoot, can't finish, and slow as marion jones without steriods

that is it ..... I never had a problem with the way VGD uses Yaoming's low post , only that he is so stubborn with our offense.

Now, coach A want this 7-6 guy play small ball and it didn't work out...

since technology's so advanced ,can we just transplant the brains of VGD and Coach A into one? ....and I want the face of al pacino :D

But... He's NOT. Am I the only one watching these games? He's NOT trying to turn the Rockets into the Kings. He's turning this year's team into last year's team with worse defense.

I am through with Rick Adelman. It took a lot of will power for me not to start chanting for his firing tonight.

I am fed up with his system. A system that runs plays on the other side of court away from Yao Ming for players who can't hit the side of a barn (i.e. Bonzi). A system that allows Mike James to ignore Yao Ming calling for the ball three different times and goes the other way. A system that keeps Yao out of rhythm because he hasn't touched the ball in a while. A system that puts Yao in the high post for slashers that never come. Enough already!!!!

    Please trade the following immediately:
Bonzi - can't hit a jumpshot. He's a square peg in a round hole next to Yao.
Battier - if he isn't shooting the three he does nothing.
Mike James - no court vision or basketball IQ.

umm honestly, to not use yao like van gundy did is just bad basketball.

not only is yao fully capable of avg. 25+ pts. a game, he is needed to for the team to win. putting him in the high post is not beneficial.

jvg only lacked a few shooters to get us into the second round.

But the fact that you are from China should not give you the freedom to change the name (including acronym) of a person.

I never wanted to , and the fact that I am China didn't make me any different from any ROX lover.

I was simply feeling comfortable saluting Jeff Van Gundy VGD with no bad intention , and if that offended anyone like you , I shall be sorry .

still, I am happy that I made myself clear according to your reply :p

I don't necessarily agree with you on Yao's ability to play the high post or not but either way we still don't have the "few" shooters to get us into the second round.

Second round is not good enough anyway.

If you ain't first your last.

That's bull. Yao catches the ball enough times at the low post. It's Yao not aggressive enough to attack the basket and always holds the ball and kicks the ball out.
