Anyone have a Vizio? I'm thinking of purchasing the 52" LCD and want some advice about this brand. Good? Bad? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.
So far I have heard nothing but good things about Vizios from people who know what they are talking about. And I have heard bad things from people who don't even know what LCD stands for.
Thanks. All the reviews I read about this TV are good but I'm still a little hesitant for some reason.
I am planning on getting one soon, either a Vizio or an Olevia. I saw a 46 inch Olevia 1080p for like 1200.. might have been less (size or price). Well i saw it on TV, they reviewed it on Attack of the Show.
I bought the 32" 720p version a little over a year ago as a 2nd tv in an office, and it gets used all the time, and I can report nothing but glowing reviews for it. Based upon my experience with this one, I absolutely would not hesitate to buy another Vizio. Having said that, though, as I understand it, there are only a couple of manufacturers of these LCD panels in the whole world anyway, so the likelihood is that you could very well be happy with just about any of them. I was impressed with Vizio's packaging, with how much care obviously went into it, and especially the warranty, including an unprecedented zero-dead-pixels guarantee, which, I learned, nobody else in the entire market had, at least at that time.
i have a 47 1080p. Its great for the price but if you can get a high contrast ratio samsung or sony, they do look slightly better but more pricey
A friend couple of mine bought a Vizio plasma last year from Costco. They said if you watch a food/cooking show side by side with a "name brand" TV, say, Samsung, meats look a lot fresher on Samsung. I spent a few minutes last weekend watching an array of HDTVs at a local Costco. To my untrained eyes, overall the picture of Vizio is markedly less vibrant than that of Sony, Sharp, Samsung, etc. The most obvious color element that is weaker on Vizio is RED. Assuming all the TVs at Costco were shown at manufacturers' default settings, I guess we can adjust the pictures to our likings. I myself chose an Olevia over a Sharp Aquos for $200 saving on a 42". After watching for two weeks, I think I like what I see.
Does anyone know anything about Polaroid LCDs? Because this deal at walmart looks pretty slick for a 42" 1080p tv... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7081021
I have the 46" Vizio 1080p LCD....I love it. It is better than the Westinhouse TVs, I have 3 of those, but the Vizio is the best.... Still happy that I have 4 HD LCD TVs and one HD projector in house....woot....DEATH TO THE TUBE !! My house (as of last month) is TV tube free !!!! DD
I know something about the Polaroid's. I bought the 32" LCD on black friday.. And got a really good deal on it $448. No complaints here.
probably because most people buy the Vizio. only makes sense it is returned the most. dont have a vizio... samsung 46lcd and sony 52lcd
Most of the cheapo brands get returned too. No one really returns their Pioneer Elite Kuros or Sony XBRs. However its best to check longterm reviews from avsforum or cnet for user's feedbacks. LT likes Vizio, so it can't be so bad
