Vince Carter is avg 24 5 5 and shooting 45% with the nets. If I were the raptors I would not have traded him for so little despite his antics.

you don't get it.... the guy was'nt gonna even try for the Raps... he was doggin it... his value was not going to increase by him giving plays to other teams and making his team lose... the guy stopped working out in the off seasons... he literally said "yeah i did'nt do anything this offseason" for about the last two seasons straight...scary thing is if he does try he can be one of the top five players in the league...... however the guy is a jack a$$ ...end of story ----- BITTER RAPTOR FAN:p

He wanted to leave, even with the cost of the team. Anyways, Raptors have been playing much better after his departure. So I guess both teams get what they want. Nets get a star in VC, Raptors get rid of the locker room and on court cancer.

I am bitter too, the guy single handedly put the organization in deep financial trouble. He tried everything to get Davis, JYD, AW those big contracts, drove Tracy away. All of a sudden he's no longer interested. People don't just change over night. Right now, he has a point to prove, but I don't know how long he's going to keep his aggressivenes. Even with Kidd kicking his ass, I don't see him put in consistant effort near the end of the season.

It's only a matter of time before he reminds everyone why he was acquired so cheaply.

The same could be said for Tmac when he quit on his team too. Even if he wasn't willing to play 100% Carter is a top 5 talent and the raptor didn't really get cap relief or get any good players out of it. And if carter can put 24 5 5 with no heart I wish the rockets had tried to get him. Maybe we could have traded mobley for him, and had francis carter and yao. Vince carter put the toronto Raptors on the map and did lead them to Eastern confrence finals. Lets see how long it takes the raptor to get back to the confrence finals.

man I should have accepted the trade in my fantasy league when I had the chance. I'm such a homer I couldn't get rid of yao on my fantasy team for VC

Actually they found out that T-Mac and Vince are only cousins by marriage. They aren't actually related by blood.

    Arguable......

but that said, he does not necessarily need any more heart with his 25-5-5 average (for the nets)........all he needs to do and be is a very good complimentary player along side Kid and Jefferson. He is not a true number one option so for that reason he does need the heart necessary to carry a team.

Kind of funny, before he was dealt the Raptors were basically throwing their hands up in the air and yelling, "We can't even give this guy away!"

......well, they finally found somebody to "give" him to and its paying off big time for NJ.

the funny thing is that if carter made that shot against the sixers in the 2000-2001 EC semi finals. his career would be so different, and people would say different things about iverson ttoo. funny how one shot can change a career.

I personally think VC is going to resurrect his career in NJ. He is playing really well as of late!

Next year NJ gets back RJ and then probably adds some front line players to a team that will have Kidd and a rejuvenated Carter. I bet the Nets are right back in the Eastern Conference hunt next year. The loss of Kenyon hurt but I think they salvaged things with that franchise with the Carter trade.

With Toronto, it was addition by subtraction because Bosh is playing GREAT since Carter has left and Bosh is the future. But I still think the Raptors could have gotten more from the Nets. 2 1st rounders would have been better. At least with one of them with conditions. All they really got was ONE 1st rounder and some old role players that wont have any barring on the team in the future.
