That's a toughy. Darth is very mechanical, which would hurt him, but his use of the force would have to be reckoned with. If it's at darth vader than it's on the death star, which has alot of metal on it. BUT if it's near a window, I don't think magneto can survive without air. Flip of the coin...tails, darth vader.
Magneto...I imagine he could take the bits and pieces of metal in Vader's suit and slice and dice him pretty badly before Darth could do any serious damage from that blue lightening or long-distance choke move he does.
Tough call. Vader uses the force to prevent magneto from using magnetism to rip his body apart. Magneto uses Magnetism to keep Vader from using choke move. When trying to manipulate objects outside themselves, magnetism and force cancel. Ala Attack of the Clones, this battle is settled by Light Sabres. Vader
Darth pulls a Force choke move on Magneto, slices his body into little pieces with his lightsaber, and freezes the remaining Magneto bits into carbonite. The battle lasts 30 seconds at most. ... Now, if we're talking Attack of the Clones pre-Vader Anakin (a.k.a. whiny, creepy b****) vs. Magneto... well, it would STILL be Vader then. Vader > Magneto Ewoks > Magneto, too...
Vader is the winner. As others have stated, his control of the Force is simply too much of an advantage. Magneto shouldn't have made it this far.
i'm not a starwars fan by any means, but doesn't vader have a metal arm? if so, i picture this a breeze for magneto. i picture him sitting back in a lazy boy watching vader slice and dice himself. sorry.
Personally, I don't think Magneto should've made it this far, but Vader is part machine! It seems simple enough to figure this one out. And yeah, Vader is badass, and he's the coolest villain of all time, but the strongest? Yeah right! He was constantly being outsmarted and out done by a couple of crazy rebel kids. Magneto 100 percent...
tie. Yeah I know it's a cop out, but that's the way I see this fight. Vader uses the force to keep Magneto from killing him with magnetic powers, but that concentration of force defensively keeps him from using force on magneto offesively. Light saber against magneto's shield, nothing happens. Standstill till both pass out completely out of fatigue.
Both have the power to control certain aspects of the environment around them. Magneto can control metals and magnetic fields. Vader wields the "Force" in which he basically is a part of the environment around him...including magnetic fields and metals. By the time Magneto starts to manipulate the metals in Vaders suit, Vader is already countering the attack by the use of the force. Vader struggles to counter the Master of Magnetism's attacks and finds himself on the defensive. Vader attempts some mind manipulation, but Magneto's helmet protects him from that. Vaders can not use his saber because of the metals used in the handle, and before Magneto switches the saber on and turns it against him, Vader uses the force to shatter the crystal inside the saber rendering it useless. This is where the power of the force takes over. Vader executes the Jedi "thrust" sending Magneto's body into a wall. He then sends numerous non metallic objects flying into Magneto, further pummeling him. As the battered Magneto begins to rise from the debris, Vader uses the "Force" choke on Magneto before Force zapping him and finishing him off. Vader wins.
Eh, I am going to go for the underdog here in Magneto. As others have mentioned, Vader has metal in his body/suit, and I have a feeling that Vader will underestimate him, although it won't be for long. However, that time that he is underestimating Mags is enough for Mags to inflict his damage.
can't believe i'm posting int his thread i think magneto wil win. vader can't do anything because magneto controls the mechanical parts of vaders body. so he can't even lift his arm to choke magneto. Magneto
VADER I think his knowledge of the force outweighs Magneto's ability to control metals. That would be a hell of a fight though.
Vader is more machine now then man. I'm with Apollo, I don't see how Magneto got this far but this is a bad match-up for Vader. Magneto in a tough one.
Magneto man. Too much metal involved. Even the lightsaber is made of metal. Magneto could crumple it and Vader instantly at the same time.
