Yeah, you have to convert them to mpeg4 IIRC. There are several converters out there though; this one has worked fine for me in the past:

You'll probably only be able to fit 2/3 games at the most on a 1 gig stick, which, then again, is probably plenty. You'll have to convert it at a pretty bad quality though for 3 games. Normally when I convert 22 minute shows, it ends up at about 110 megs.

A Rockets game would probably take up about 600 megs at the quality I do it (one of thie highest) If you don't care about the quality too much, you can easily fit 2. 3...maybe not actually. There should be a bunch of different settings in PSPVideo9 where you can set the amount of space you want a vid to take up, and it'll encode it at the necessary bitrate to fit. I won't promise that the end result will be pretty, at 330 megs for a 2 hour video ;)

heh....I dont think they look that great at 700M a piece....which is what those vids he is talking about are.

I shudder to think about how bad they will look viewed on a psp

btw...he didnt specify...but they are encoded with xvid.

Hey RC, I wanted to say thanks. I got my 2 gig stick in the mail today. I would have never known they were there without your post.

Everything I convert is normally xvid ;)

You do have to convert it. R2K, I assume your computer is much better than mine, so it shouldn't take TOO long to encode to PSP format like it does on my PC. I've converted a highlights clip from XVid to PSP, and it looks just fine, but I dunno I could watch a full game on a PSP. :)

when you convert a video at the default quality, its pretty much the same size as the original and the quality is as great. I converted a 175MB family guy episode and it ended up like 160MB, but the quality was excellent. I converted a My Name Is Earl episode in the lowest compression and its size was from 176MB to 80MB and its not as good as the original but its viewable.

Everything on Google vids, you can download and transfer to PSP automatically without converting.

The PSPVideo9 copy option will create the necessary folder for you to be able to view the videos. I don't remember the exact folder structure off the top of my head.

How many vids were you able to fit? Just one?

That's strange. Unlike the video playback, I think the PSP supports most image formats (JPG,GIF,BMP,TIF,PNG). Maybe they're not in the right folder? You may have to make a PHOTOS folder on the PSP to put the pictures in.

worked it out PHOTO is the folder and needs to be in PSP folder as opposed to root folder

btw have clips game encoding now so will have it on later

and although didn't watch suns game for long the quality is very nice
