since the reg season is going to start in a little under 2 weeks I wanted to try to organize for the rocket fans in the LA area for a viewing party to watch the home opener against dallas. I plan to have it at my apartment where we can bash on my roomate (whose only flaw is that he is a mavs fan) as the rockets defeat the mavs. The only issue is that my apartment isnt that big, i figure it can hold 15-20 people to watch the game. I have LP so the game will be starting at 530pm pacific time. What city is your apartment in? if you don't want to say it here ill email you. I'm kind of interested but it depends how close. I have work till 6 so if i do decide to come ill be alittle late but traffic is a b**** so it might not be worth it if you live on the other side of L.A.
damn. I'm gonna on the other side of los angeles. I'm gonna be in pomona till 6pm, theres no way ill be able to make it given the distance + traffic. anyway hope you get a good turnout.
i used to live out there, you should go to scoreboards in pomona off temple ave on the 57. nice sports bar much better environment than some of the other ones i have been too. I dont know if they will have LP they should though. one of the managers there is a mavs fan. not sure if he is still working there though.
oh yeah no smoking if you people smoke you can go outside of the building onto the sidewalk to do so but not in the apt building. and its always BYOB like i am going to pay all the drinks for you alcoholic bums
Damn. I want to come (I think I remember you mentioning a nice big flat-screen setup, which would be pretty sweet for the game.), but I have an engagement that day. I still might be able to make it depending on how the timing shakes out, so I'll give you a call or something if I can make it.
sounds good yeah i bought a 61' dlp i dont think the game will be in hi-def (though i will hope it is) but it still looks nice otherwise so far i guess NO ONE in LA except for m_cable is interested i guess there are no fans around here outside of us two
