    This is a new feature Im trying, let me know if it is a waste or not. For those who want to hear waht the players/coach are saying in the interviews without downloading the games or Pre/Post vids

    Even tho krosfoyah posted a version already, I decided to go ahead and give this its proper due....its a cool feature...highly recommended.

    REMINDERS:

    1) As most of you know, the videos are encoded with the xvid codec and are being made available using the bittorrent p2p protocol, so if you arent sure what that means, check this FAQ written by droxford for help or post here if you still have trouble.

    Dont forget the need to seed...seeding is so important to bittorrent working right.


    2) if you download via a yousendit link....you really need to re-upload to yousendit and post the link here...it is most uncool to leech that and not return the favor...those links are only good for 25 downloads apiece.

    3) if you are trying to play it on Windows Media Player, Quicktime, or RealPlayer and it still wont play after you install the xvid codec ..I would recommend using:

    Media Player Classic
    BS player(scroll down to get free BS Player)
    VLC Player

    4) the Need To Feed the Tipjar (See my sig) is a ever-present need...if this server doesnt receive support, you never know when one day it might go away...and then where would you be? Clutch cant do everything for us...lets give the man a hand.

    Oh also, been meaning to ask this. Have you considered an HD version of full game to post on BitTorrent?

    Would be great for those who can't watch the game on TV and HD is just pimpin.

    Also makes for nice Rockets/T-Mac/Yao high quality mixes :)

    The file would be huge. I downloaded some HD MTVs and for a 10 minz clip it's like 400-600 mb.

    I've seen some other games online in HD on torrent sites, usually around 1gb or so.

    its a moot point since FSN doesnt broadcast in HD
    they have a channel set aside for it, but I have only seen it work once.

    and the HD version would be too big for wide-spread distribution...shrinking HD content down to the file size I use now would not increase its clarity.

    My FSN signal is already good, and I clean up any analog artifacts during the encoding anyway.

    SO to sum up...
    HD would not equal better product even if it were available to me.

    Alright then, maybe in the future :)

    Anyways, this They Said It clip just downloaded, I'm watching it.
    Soo good, this is the kind of stuff I would like to see for every game. Nice one!

    I'll continue seeding it too, took me forever to download cause no one was connected.

    Actually, anything HDTV captured will always look better than SDTV. So, it may not be a real HD game, but it's definitely better than normal tv picture. Although, your games are heavily compressed so you could be right.

    I feel gyped on the rowdie segment. as I said in my thread from last month that there a lot of camera time of the people that came on time and they showed the rowdies who were late to the game. oh well that's just how it was edited :(

    5 stars for the newbies, though I haven't downloaded any of them yet. :p

    R2K's full game vids are superb when watching through my PC (on LCD monitor). It's VCD-quality when I played them on my 29" CRT TV (my DVD player could play AVI format files). They are good enough for me considering that I can merely watch more than 10 Rockets games a season from the domestic paid sports channels (ESPN, NBATV) here. And R2K's full game vids are perfectly fit into a CD-R which means I can make archive for each and every Rockets games myself! However, I still bought myself an external DVD burner recently, just to be prepared for the large file size games (e.g. OT games or may be, HD games).

    If we get into the finals this year, would you consider compiling the series in HD format for us R2K? :D

    According to my experience, the HD version is way better than a SD version given the same size. I downloaded last season of Prison break, each episode of which is about 400M, and they looked great.

    Actually I can't ask for more from you, since you've already done a great job for all the fans. Just in case when you are interested, give a try.

    Im well aware of the diff between HD and SD.
    got a 50" Sammy DLP in the front room and a 23" Sammy LCD back here. :)

    but you did catch my point that when compressed the extra video quality is minimized to near non-existent due to the bandwidth loss from xvid compression.

    unfortunate but true.

    there are already lots of people that wont download them now cause of the file size, I couldn't imagine how it would be for 1G+



    Im not really currently setup to record HD if I wanted to.
    It is a situation that can be easily rectified by moving a HD box into the office, but as of right now I only have standard cable(1-99) capture abilities.

    since FSN does not broadcast in HD, it hasnt been a priority for me. But if we make it to the end anything's possible.
