It wasn't just you. The place erupted when he went to the scorers table. It erupted when he came in and exploded when he hit the 3.

 

Yeah... something seems to be missing with Scola. Seems to even pass up some open shots. Maybe it's just a matter of playing for a bad team. He's can't be this bad this soon. IIRC, he was decent even in the Olympics.

 

you could tell by the reactions of the players around him during the tribute video that there's not much joy or brotherhood there like the old Rockets had with Luis.

 

I'm sure part of it is being a little sad not to be part of what the Rockets are doing now. I get hey they cut him but it still must hurt given that it wasn't financially necessary and he was still productive.

 

Luis is from Argentina. They are big in loyalty and obviously their home country as well. For Luis playing for the Rockets was heart, playing for Phoenix is just business. It shows. The man needs a fresh start, he shouldn't be playing for a bottom feeder like the Suns, he should be coming off the bench for a contender.

I feel sorry for him.

I think he knows his time in PHX is over, they're going youth movement(not a very good core tbh lol), and PHX is basically masquerading Scola as a starter, probably out of respect for him, but it's only a matter of time before he's dealt.

I hope Popovich picks him up, Spurs will get the most out of him.

Aaron knows what's up, saying you don't really notice Harden when Lin goes off and vice versa. McHale should stagger them again, play some Brooks/Lin and Beverly/Harden lineups in the 2nd and 3rd.

 

If D-Mo keeps it up I think he could squeeze in the all rookie second team.
