Does it really help to shoot baskets from a chair? He's not going to be 4 feet tall when he returns.

I would think it helps him keep from being totally rusty, technique-wise. I'm no expert, though.

it's not going to help his game, but i think yao just wants to be around basketball, and that's a great sign. what else can yao do? play video games all day.

keep the stroke going, and maybe develop the left-hand a little bit, and maybe shooting that low will help him against the midgets somehow haha.

    good find.

In terms of professionalism, Shaq isn't good enough to carry Yao's jock strap.

Not really sure if this is allowed, because I know Clutch doesn't want us linking anything from YMM.

but this is what the John (ymm site admin) wrote:

First, Hats off to Yao and his work ethics. The guy is driven to win. True warrior.

"What did you guys over the weekend, just chill?"

Yao was like shut the f up, look at me and my leg right now.

Yeah, Shaq took time off during his Laker days healing his big toe. He could have healed it during off season, but rather came to camp out of shape with the big toe still hurt. His rationale was he was injured on the court, so he should be able to recover on company's time.

I doubt if it really helps. The video said something about it gets tiring shooting that many baskets but I don't see him breaking a sweat for it to be a conditioning workout. Maybe he should stick to breaking down tape of past games while he's still on crutches.

I've said this before. This will only help Yao if the chair is on wheels and works with some hydraulic-like abilities.

Hitting shots in a chair like that would may help him hit shots when he is off balance, which is his one weakness.

Obviously shooting from a chair isn't exactly a good workout. But you guys are missing the point.

I do understand that shooting from a chair is better than no shooting at all, but doesn't it seem like they could at least put him on a stool or something that will simulate his shooting height? That would make more sense.
