http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY5fiHu73zk Man I was watcching this video on youtube.com and I was amazed how far YAO's game has changes and how he is capable of playing the passer role and the long shooter role as much as a post player. Check out minute 3 when he makes several of long range shots that is not used by him anymore. Guys if any of you can paste the youtube video I would really appreciate it. I am not sure how to do that on this site.

This video is the best Yao Mix....I love it and it shows what he can do if unshackled. I expect a much better Yao this year..... DD
It's a collage of all Yao's years as a Rocket I believe... because I know there is some in there from this past year, and I think, by the uniforms, that some of it was in there pre-JVG.
nice find I sure hope how is healthy so he can perform like he has done in the past. P.S- wish stromile worked in our system =(
yao + his tall gf = future nba 7'5" dudes! But in reality I bet they won't have kids or will have a 5' tall daughter.
The video was made last summer, and pretty much all the footage is from when R2K started capping. So it's mostly made up of clips of Tracy's first year (The Sura/Barry/Wesley team), and two years ago (The year with Stro and Derek Anderson etc.). There's some clips of Yao's rookie year, but only a few choice ones (behind the head pass, and the Dream-like fake up and under against the Pacers).
Stro would routinely crap his pants in Adelman's offense. The offense in Sacramento was by far the most complicated and intricate offense in the NBA. That whole team was filled with veterans and smart players who understood basketball. If our offense is anything like that, then Stro wouldn't stand a chance to understand it. The guy couldn't even crack Memphis's rotation this year and they were running the simplest offense imaginable (run as fast as you can and score even faster)
All these highlights were during the JVG era. So any of those, "JVG was holding Yao back" arguments aren't going to work for this one. Anyways, why is everyone so fascinated by Yao shooting long jumpers? I don't know about yall, but Yao didn't get to where he is why shooting long jumpers. He made a killing in the paint and I hope it stays that way. Sure he can take a few outside shots here and then to put pressure on the defense, but I just hope he doesn't choose to settle for outside shots more. When you are 7'6 with skills, you better be on the low block abusing opposing centers.
That would be crazy. I saw Yao and his girlfriend at the Galleria about a month ago and she is easily 6'3 or 6'4. If they have a daughter, she'll destroy the WNBA.
No reason in particular, FF3 (as I remember it from the SNES) is one of my favorite games of all-time, and I always loved that theme music.
Yao used to shoot jumpers all the time. As shortly as 2 years ago. Until he realized he was the most dominant big man in the current NBA and that jumpers are for pansy boys. He plays deep now. Gets to the line. Like a real man.
Someone please get the Rockets back in those mcdonalds uniforms. For whatever reason they played great together in them.
