Regardless, I'd hit either one of them. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1TJ_UKt4QtQ&search=mrs world Canadian Beauty Doubts Fairness of Russian Mrs. World Pageant A woman who represented Canada at the Mrs. World pageant in Russia is among contestants alleging a contest official bought his wife the crown in a show filled with odd twists, the Edmonton Sun daily reports. A show organizer, however, says there’s nothing to the allegations. Nicole Mackoway returned to Edmonton this week declaring she’s through with pageants after what she’d hoped would be a classy affair turned into a cheesy reality show. Her trip was tainted by everything from lost luggage, bad food and rude people to a twist in the contest that initially saw the wrong woman crowned. Russia contestant Sofia Arzhakovskaya, 18, was crowned Mrs. World on April 29 in St. Petersburg. But not until Mrs. Costa Rica, Andrea Bermudez Romero, had been erroneously crowned. “Mr. Russia bought the crown for his wife,” said Mackoway, a 29-year-old mother of two. “She followed a completely different set of rules than the rest of us. We were all told if we were late, we’d be sent home. She was never there.” The Philippines’ Maricarl Tolosa-Cabel made the same allegation in an interview with the Manila Standard Today. Bob Mazza, vice-president of Marmel Entertainment in Los Angeles, chalked the controversy up to a staging glitch. “The lady that brings out the sash incorrectly put it on the wrong person and that created the confusion,” he said. “We corrected the mistake immediately and that was the end of the show.” Mazza also said judging ballots showed the true winner. He vehemently denied allegations the contest was fixed. “When there’s passion involved and emotions involved, everyone thinks they can win,” he said. “There was no scandal and there was no fixing.” The 2006 Mrs. World pageant is to air May 29. http://www.mosnews.com/news/2006/05/08/NoFairPlay.shtml
I was actually watching the end of the show. Well, not me, but it was on at my house, and I caught the end. The contestants were flipping out and cursing about how it wasn't fair. It made for quite the site.
Mrs. Norway ROCKS. "OK, everyone... let's do this right... we'll shoot it again..." Freakin' Alan Thicke... still can't get a good gig...
That looked staged. The part with the guy yelling at the woman who did the miscrowning was the fakest of all.
People who only watch the TV program will most likely miss the funny part. I think they will just cut off the part that Miss Costa Rica was crowned mistakenly. Nothing controversial can probably be seen in the final version after the editing.
It's already aired though. And in the vid it had the WE logo on the bottom, hence why one of the women said it turned to a cheesy reality show.
Alan Thicke doing a beauty pageant on WE. Damn. Even Kirk Cameron is getting more play on "Intelligent Design" Theater.
Yeah, because she's 18. Remember that this is the Mrs. World contest. She's only in there because she's the 2nd wife of some Russian oil guy who is worth $560 mil. Rumors are he's still married to his other wife so they're not even sure if this marriage is legit. Most of the other ladies in the pageant are married with kids. The entire thing was a total joke. My wife made me watch it and it was stupid but so totally worth it when they crowned the wrong person. It was a total fiasco and totally hilarious.
