First mix was a fine mix. Had some plays I'd forgotten about. Second mix.... not so much. Interspersed nice plays by McGrady with Yao missing shots, getting blocked, getting dunked on by Boozer, getting stripped, etc. I'd like to give this mix maker the benefit of the doubt.... but the agenda in the clip was far too obvious. The dude wants to say Yao sucks, McGrady rules, it's not McGrady's fault the Rockets didn't win. Too bad for him I could easily compile a mix of the series that says exactly the opposite, since McGrady played poorly as well.
no how about the 2nd mix had a more equal distribution of both teams doing well and not just the rockets. they had deron, boozer, and okur making shots in there along w/ the rockets. and maybe those plays were great defensive plays by utah on yao ming. watch it closely man. it wasn't just a rockets mix. the user put a lot of highlights of utah SCORING AND DEFENDING in there. why is it you always criticize tracy?
Well why didn't he put some missed shots/turnovers/bad plays by McGrady up there? He shot 39%, and there are plenty of bad plays to choose from. All we saw was McGrady scoring and Yao missing and getting dunked on. We saw maybe one positive Yao highlight and about 15 negative ones. We saw many positive McGrady highlights, and ZERO negative ones. The usual objective of a highlight mix is to show the nice positive plays of your guys. If this guy put a lot of McGrady highlights and a few Yao highlights, I'd make a note of the fact that the mixmaker is a McGrady fan, but it wouldn't be worth mentioning. However, this guy takes it to another level. He ONLY shows Yao failing, and he ONLY shows McGrady looking good. If he wants to show Utah highlights, there are many of them that have McGrady on the business end. He clearly has an anti-Yao and pro-McGrady agenda. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if you made this. This mix is about as fair and balanced as Fox News.
um, maybe all the GREAT utah defensive highlights were on yao ming. so is this mix-maker a deron/okur/boozer fan too?? b/c i saw highlights of them scoring. why does it have to be anit-this and that? if it's ONLY rocket highlights, then maybe u have a point. but this maker obviously appreciated the jazz's performance also. and one of the best jobs was defending yao, which is not an easy thing to do. can that be the case?
i'm a yao fan. but, to be honest, when yao sucks, he looks worse. a 7'6 guy getting dunked on or blocked gotta be more highlight worthy than a tmac missed shot. if someone wants to make a rocket look bad, it's probably yao. he doesn't have to like tmac.
the song was called time of dying... hence the video being about why we lost. I actually liked both. Can I ask why ibtl?
I don't think there were any negative intentions in the mixes. Frankly, Yao was a large reason we lost, although it wasn't his fault. A guy his size should never be expected to cover a short, quick, prolific scorer. Also due to the failure of the supporting cast to show up at the game, Yao was often the go to guy and took a lot of tricky shots, even though at all times he was being shadowed by the lanky, cranky Karilenko.
