Great link to all of the videos. http://www.stylusmagazine.com/artic...agazines-top-100-music-videos-of-all-time.htm
Any list without this masterpiece is completely bogus. <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/XkMWdI2IKiw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/XkMWdI2IKiw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
This was left off as well. Bogus indeed. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5621326045728337618&q=home+sweet+home
It was number 29 EDIT: Damn, this guy must really like Radiohead. Which is cool because I do too, but there's a good 3 or 4 of their videos and the #1 overall is Thom Yorke. And where's Tha Crossroads? All these other bull**** rap videos made it, but not the most requested one in MTV's history? And no love for Michael Jackson???
Where is Bohemian Rhapsody?? And why Thriller is not even on the top 20?? Those videos should be in the top 10 at least.
Three 6 Mafia? Blackstreet? I see why most of the top 20 were selected but they really used fillers for most of the latter half. Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" always gets overlooked for some reason.
This list sucks, no 'Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane' or 'GNR - Estranged' They did have The Priest's 'Breaking The Law' so at least that's one thing they got right.
No "Money For Nothing" No "Losing My Religion" I dub this list complete and utter On a related note, how the heck did Easy E have even a remotely successful rap career? That dude's voice is higher pitched than Mini Me...not exactly screaming out "gangsta"...
"Losing my Religion was # 12 IIRC. And don't knock on Easy. He was one of the few rappers I could stand to listen to.
Oh crap! It is in there, but at #17. I must have glanced over it. I dub this list only half crap, then. Money For Nothing was one if, if not THE earliest use of computer graphics in the history of film making. ...and sorry, but Easy E sucked ass. The Dynamite Hack cover of Boys in the Hood blows his version away.
My brain hurts after that! (had to cut it off after verse one) Video 100 brings back some awesome memories! Houston on the national rap scene and all... "I sit alone in my four-cornered room starrin' at candles..." btw- where's The Cars? Motley Crue? Obvious this list compiler is a post-80's baby.
A-ha at #4. Nice. I have no clue what that man is saying during that entire song. Well ok, maybe a couple of sentences.
